I’m sure that this wacko demented being, was in violation of numerous gun laws even before he started his rampage.
The inconvenient truth is that the criminal element does not obey laws, no matter how well intentioned the liberals are. So then the discussion should be, how do we defend against the demented who are hell bent on causing a massacre , in violation of said laws.
Actually, armed guards do work. Where I live, churches above a certain size are apparently required to hire off-duty sheriffs for security.
Where I lived before, they hired armed security, and the pastor encouraged cops in the membership to carry during worship.
There have been at least a couple of attacks stopped by armed security. Who knows how many have been deterred by the known presence of armed security. And there have been several attacks on churches, and now a synagogue, when attackers guessed correctly there would be no security.
The long term answer is to put an end to multiculturalism and return all foreign nationals to their nations of origin.
Ok Mayor, what "gun control" measures - specifically? Then explain exactly how these measures would stop this kind of shooting. I want details, not vague, unsupported promises. I *know* a good guy with a gun can stop a bad guy with a gun. Thankfully I have never had to use one of mine. I have talked to several people who have used their firearms to protect their lives and others.
No guards are not the answer. Though they will serve in the short term. The answer lies in implanting a moral compass into the little skulls full of mush as Rush would say. Our society is breaking down because it is under assault from all sides and the church, society’s moral compass have sided with the enemy. The eternal problem of mankind.

If we can just disarm the general population we will all be safe....except for all the illegal guns that will be flooding across the borders into the hands of criminals.
The church across the street from my house has a marked city cop car and a marked State Police car in the parking lot this morning which tells me there are at least 2 armed police in the sanctuary, right now. Those 2 are probably comforted by the fact that they are severely outgunned by the congregation.
Does the good mayor think security guards are never appropriate? Or does he think that they’re only appropriate for important people like himself?
