Just minutes after the identity of the suspect behind this week’s vicious and hateful attacks on our democracy was released, the mainstream media wasted no time in finding the true culprit behind the despicable acts: Conservatives, Republicans, and President Trump.
CNN’s John Avlon went so far as to blame the “suspicious package” sent to actor Robert De Niro on one particular Fox News host.

Hannity is making a mistake when he certifies, by documenting his views on political violence, that De Niro is worthy of a good faith effort to correct his venom.
De Niro knows precisely that he is engaging in character assassination and is a liar and a snake.
All De Niro is worth, and can really understand, is a few earthy expressions of contempt.

- No talk about hitting or fighting your political opponents

When Sarah Palin had an ad with Gabby Giffords and a target sight on her face, she did NOTHING wrong. No sane person would believe for a moment that she wanted Giffords attacked. When President Reagan cracked, “My fellow Americans, I’m pleased to tell you today that I’ve signed legislation that will outlaw Russia forever. We begin bombing in five minutes.”, no sane person thought we were launching nukes!
Language uses hyperbole. Does so all the time. And nuts are NUTS. In this case, a “typical Trump supporter” - a male stripper with a rap sheet a mile long - sent bomb-looking things, most of which never even arrived and none of which, apparently, could have worked. The guy is a nut job, and NO ONE is responsible for his actions EXCEPT HIM!

You are correct. When I scanned the article I saw what De Niro said, but he was saying it about Trump.
So, what I said about De Niro is correct and Hannity should not offer documentation to CNN about his views on violence; they know, after Hannity’s twenty-thirty years broadcasting, what those views are.
