There is no explosives..the one at CNN had nothing but powder in it. Every bomb expert, military or otherwise, that has looked at these so called bombs say they are a joke...no danger to anyone; also, they would never allow the pictures of the items to be shown at this early date. It’s a hoax and they were sent to all the right people, knowing they would hammer President Trump on it.
Some of them were mailed although not the ones we have seen.
And if the falseflagger was caught, Pres. Trump could beimpeached by a Democrat congress and the perp later pardoned by a Democrat President ushered in after Mike Pence is impeached.

Note the casing and end-caps do not appear to be made of metal. Otherwise the x-ray would show the sides and endcaps as dark as the wires.
If the devise has gunpowder inside, it would be closer to a "flash-bang" than a deadly devise, given the little information available.
When the deep state pulls one of their clown acts like this, they typically give up an operative who does exactly what Ben did. It’s all about momemtum and public opinion. Ben must have a little birdy whispering in his ear.
One of them seems to connect to the timer for sure, the other could be connected, and just the perspective of the x-ray makes it look like it goes back into the device. They certainly seemed to be connected to the “timer” from the photos that were posted.
What is interesting is that inside the device, they are not connected to a blasting cap or anything like that. It just looks like they are connected to either end of a coil of wires. I suppose if those wires were a resister like the tungsten filaments in light bulbs they could possibly generate enough heat to light off a low order explosive like black powder, but I don’t think it would be very reliable.

On August 11, 1999, President Bill Clinton offered clemency to 16 unrepentant members of the Puerto Rican terrorist group FALN (Armed Forces for National Liberation).
The FALN carried out a reign of terror in America from 1974 through 1983, conducting 114 bombings including the January 24, 1975 lunchtime attack of New York’s historic Fraunces Tavern that killed four innocent people. Among the victims was my 33 year-old father, Frank Connor.
In 1981, the majority of the FALN terrorists were arrested, tried, convicted, and sentenced in Chicago Federal Court to 50 to 70 year prison terms for crimes including seditious conspiracy, bomb making, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, and weapons possession.
Prior to the clemency offers, supporters of the release received a reported nine meetings with White House and Justice Department officials, while victims and their families were ignored.
Incredibly, the FALN terrorists never requested clemency themselves. Instead, a “support committee” requested clemency on their behalf.
Inexplicably, the Justice Department conducted the standard investigation, which resulted in Pardon Attorney Margaret Love not recommending the terrorists’ release. However, Eric Holder, then Deputy Attorney General, fired Love and compelled her replacement, Roger Adams, to draft a neutral “options” memo which provided President Clinton the rationale he needed to offer their releases. Fourteen of the sixteen terrorists eventually accepted clemency and left prison on September 10, 1999. ..."
In 1999, Hillary was planning for her 2000 U.S. Senate run. Offering clemency to these individuals was designed to help her gain footing with New York’s Puerto Rican population of 3.5 million people. ..."

I didn’t see any of these that were just plain flags as in the package pictures...
Or they are still investigating and will report when they are done. I have no idea if the FBI can be trusted on this. I do know that for Clinton and Trump they were corrupt to the core, with no objective professionals at all. But perhaps they can improve under Trump.

2007 Fort Dix attack plot
A group of six radical Islamist[1] men, allegedly plotting to stage an attack on the Fort Dix military base in New Jersey, United States, were arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on May 7, 2007. They were subsequently charged with planning an attack against U.S. soldiers. The alleged aim of the six men was said to be to "kill as many soldiers as possible".[2] Their trial began on October 20, 2008. [3]
Opening arguments were presented on October 20, 2008.
Assistant U.S. Attorney William Fitzpatrick said the defendants were inspired by jihad saying "Their motive was to defend Islam. Their inspiration was Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden.
