Trump approval jumps ahead of Obama’s midterm approval rating

President Trump's approval rating before the November elections has jumped to a higher level than former President Obama's ahead of the 2010 midterms, according to a new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll.

The poll found Trump's approval rating at its highest level for that poll yet at 47 percent. Obama's approval rating was 45 percent around the same time in 2010, according to a similar NBC/Wall Street Journal poll taken in late October 2010.

Obama's approval rating was reaching a record low in October 2010, just before his party lost a significant number of seats in the House and Senate.

President Trump is a historically unpopular president among the general U.S. population, but consistently retains extremely high levels of Republican support. Recent polls have put him at around a 90 percent approval rating among Republicans.

Many see the midterm elections as a referendum on the current president.

Republicans and Democrats are facing a particularly tough election year, with vulnerable Democratic senators seeking to retain their seats in states Trump won by double-digits in 2016 as Republicans deal with widespread Trump disapproval among suburban women and other groups.

The new NBC/WSJ poll found voters more energized than they have been for years, with seventy-two percent of Democrats telling pollsters they are very interested in the upcoming election as 68 percent of Republicans said the same.

“Midterms are about mobilization, and we are headed into the stretch run with unprecedented enthusiasm among both parties,” Democratic pollster Fred Yang Yang told NBC.

Overall, the poll found Democrats with a 9-point lead over Republicans in the battle for congressional control. Fifty percent of likely voters said they want Congress to flip to the Democrats while 41 percent said they want Republicans to retain majorities.

Historically unpopular?

Then why is he more popular than Obama? Even according to their own fake poll.

It must be killing them to even report it.

My approval rating of obama has soared.
I strongly approve him not being president!

Yes, the inaccurate and fake NBC/WSJ poll says Trump is more popular than Obama!

Makes you wonder what the real numbers are.

When Trump beats Obama, all it tells you is what they’re not saying.

Like he said yesterday in jest at the Elko rally, he would be at 100% approval looking at all of the things he’s done.

Its astonishing he’s more popular than Obama even though media coverage has been 99% negative towards him:

Obama enjoyed reams of flattering wall to wall coverage. He lost in spite of the media adulation of him.

Something to think about as we tick down to the election.

“as Republicans deal with widespread Trump disapproval among suburban women and other groups. “

bullshit propaganda ... this phrase has shown up in every
article the damnable Lying Leftist Fake Stream Enemedia™ has published for a week ... someone how they think that repeating a lie a bazillion times will make it true ... my prediction is that they’re gonna be shocked at the lack of so-called disapproval of suburban women ...

Oh really? Two can play at that:

"President Obama is a historically unpopular president among the general U.S. population, but consistently retains extremely high levels of Democrat support. Recent polls have put him at around a 90 percent approval rating among Democrats."

Factoring media bias, that has to be 50% or better.

Given how well the country is doing under this administration, one can only imagine how high President Trump’s approval ratings would be without the entire MSM, commie democrats, RINOs, DOJ/FBI/CIA/NSA waging their 2 year old Coup d’etat.

Must really be killing them that they oversampled Democrats and got this.

Yup.

Trump’s largest crowd will be in TX tomorrow. They have been telling us this race is over and the only question left is how big Trump wil lose.

Not so fast.

Exactly. Since Obama was even less popular than Trump supposedly is at this time, did they call Obama ‘historically unpopular’ ?

Every one talks about the House. The Senate is no longer in doubt.

Let’s wait and see how it turns out.

‘Fifty percent of likely voters said they want Congress to flip to the Democrats,” which means fifty percent of likely voters want to throw a monkey-wrench into Trump’s soaring economy, which would cause joblessness to increase, wages to stagnate, and the stock market to fall, possibly touching off a recession.

Amazing.

If people are stupid enough to vote against their own pocketbook, this will be the first time it’s happened in the history of the world.
