GOP congressman says 'jobs or mobs' message beginning to resonate with voters

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) says GOP House leaders put their members in a tough spot by failing to deliver on promises like a border wall, but that Republicans are gaining late traction by casting the election as a choice between job creation or angry mobs.

"I like the catch phrase 'jobs or mobs,'" the first-term senator told Hill.TV's Friday edition of Rising. "We either are going to get more jobs or you gonna get mobs. The Democrats are their own worst enemy at this time because they don't have a policy for anything so they are just attacking."

Biggs, whose reelection race is not considered competitive by election handicappers, said the argument is gaining "traction" after Republicans who long trailed in the polls got a surprise lift from conservative voter backlash after the Supreme Court battle over Brett Kavanaugh.

But he added GOP voters still have disappointment with unfulfilled promises by the GOP.

“Trust and integrity are big issues in this particular race, particularly in the congressional races,” he said.

“The Republicans have not fulfilled their promises to the base of the Republican Party and to the Independents and Democrats who walked over and voted for President Trump. I’m specifically talking about the failure to do a complete repeal of Obamacare and also the failure to build a border wall. Those two things were integral to Donald Trump winning the nomination first and then winning the presidency. It resonated with people,” he added.

With elections only weeks away, Biggs said he hopes Republican leadership will “put the pedal to the metal on these issues.”

The Arizona Congressman said the GOP needs to make their messages to the voters clear, “We’re going to finish and run through the tape on this Trump agenda and in order to do so we need, we need the Republicans for two more years.”

Republicans have the opportunity to govern for decades IF they start delivering on campaign promises.

If they get nothing done or back-slide, they will start losing.

The next two years will determine if Republicans are going to lead or crumble.

People know what they see!

"Mobs" adequately describes what most unbiased people see.

Sprinkle that simply message with a photomontage of the usual suspects and they will move the needle.

Agreed. But we have been led by the two worst Speaker’s in our history! If we get Jordan as a Speaker, we will start keeping our promises.

RNC needs to run those video clips once an hour. Scratching on SCOTUS doors. Mobsters with black masks and painted faces holding signs and screaming obscenities. Antifa and similar attacking peaceful people.

There is a significant fact being missed in all the “blue Wave” media noise.

Most of the bitter Never Trumpers will not be in the Congress next year. A lot of people like Flake-Corker-Ryan-McCain will be gone.

If the GOP holds the US House, and wins more seats in the US Senate, the next Congress is going to be a much more friendly place for President Trump

Eric Cantor admitted all the RINO promises of repealing Obamacare were a fraud to win elections.

Many RINOs like McCain ran on repealing Obamacare. He lied, then ...

Yes, but juxtapose those images with those of Americans at work. Use the great Morning in America ads of Ronald Reagan as templates. And be sure to ad the vids of Waters, Hillary, and Holder making their threats. Run them everywhere there is a contested election.

The reason why the Left HATES the term NPC is that one letter down is MOB--a perfect description of their mentality.

“complete repeal of Obamacare”

Well Andy, your buddy who is now taking a dirt nap, the SOB, had a lot to do with the failure of the repeal.

Well, I don't like that phrase! It is an insult to Americans to imply that we would "revolt" or - worse yet - form a mob and go on a rampage merely because the job market was sluggish, etc.

They are getting a chance to get a clue and get this stuff done!

We are mainly sending them back for OUR own protection, though.

With no Ryan or McCain, and Mitch kept in steady supply of cocaine, we may just get this machine out of the slow lane.

The Dems are running from being accurately portrayed as MOBS, so it works.

The screeching in the Senate hearings and during the is worse than the Supreme Court rampage.

Not sure TV ads would be approved with the ear piercing shrieks.

There is no insult except to those who are insulted by everything.

The mobsters won’t be getting jobs and turning them away from violence. That is the job for many.

The phrase perfectly describes the situation of either encouraging these lunatics or making them irrelevant because of a Red Wave.

Ooooh that’s good.

There’s a good campaign ad to be made from morphing MOB into NPC with a borg-like multiple voice over as Leftist zombies chant the same groupthink in unison.
