“Morgana, what a thrill to see this brave movie finish in top ten with no advertising except people like us....”

Now you all understand why all last week I would not shut up about this movie. Was trying so hard to get the word out so this would happen.

They didn’t win.

And yet ROTTEN TOMATOES does not show it in their top ten box office grossing movies for the week. It doesn’t even show it when you click “Show all”.

Something is ROTTEN at Rotten Tomatoes. They couldn’t be more obvious with their craven dishonesty.

Contrary to the article, the movie did not finish in the top 10, but at number 12. And at Rotten Tomatoes it shows for me when I click "Show all" and sort by "popularity."

“Despite a media blackout and virtually no coverage outside conservative media circles, the new movie ‘Gosnell’ made the list of top 10 movies across the United States over the weekend. Coming in at the #10 spot, Gosnell came in ahead of other movies with much wider releases — as the film is appearing in just 673 theaters nationwide.”

This article is slightly misleading, though I do not assume that it is so intentionally.

It links to the DAILY box office numbers for Sunday, October 14:

https://www.boxofficemojo.com/daily/chart/

But it is listed at #12 for the overall weekend:

https://www.boxofficemojo.com/weekend/chart/

This means that the Gosnell movie came in at number 10 on one day only, which was Sunday. So, yes, technically it did make “the list of top 10 movies across the United States over the weekend,” but not for the entire or overall weekend numbers, just for one day.

This is an accomplishment, and I do not mean to downplay the concern over the “media blackout” or to take away from the per-theater accomplishment either.

I have not seen this movie yet, but I hope to as soon as I have a chance.

Rather disingenuous of the article to brag that it’s outperform I ng “Crazy Rich Asians”, a film that has taken in more than a hundred tunes as much at the box office at this point.

I saw many grim faces and some people crying after the movie.

I am pleasantly surprised that the movie did so well nationally. It was playing at the theater near our house. We went on Saturday night at 7pm. There were maybe 10 people in the theater. They cancelled the 10pm show because nobody bought tickets.

Admittedly it is not a “date night” movie, unless you want your date to be depressed. I notice a lot of Freepers are avoiding the movie because they fear what they will see. To those Freepers THE MOVIE IS RATED PG13!!!.

If you can’t stomach a PG13 movie about a trial, then you don’t have the stomach for a fight over saving the lives of the unborn.

If nothing else, go on Fandango and order some tickets. If you want to save a buck, get the senior discount.

Sorry, but nobody has an excuse for not going. It’s important that the numbers go up.

I bought a ticket for support but didn’t go in. I just don’t want to see it.

Good idea! I will do it.

It doesn’t matter where you buy the ticket, right? Even just online like at fandango?

Going to be hard to watch as some have said.

These pro life threads are often hard to read. Yet you read them anyway. Go see the movie. Tonight!

Watched “3801 Lancaster: American Tragedy” on Amazon prime video.

My first thought was “wow, now I see why progressives believe this movie might be evidence to overturn Roe v. Wade”

Only a couple of turn-the-head gruesome scenes, but well worth watching if you’re interested.

I’ve followed the discoveries etc. though haven’t seen the movie yet... sufficient what I read of his horrendeous and despicable crimes and conditions his clinic was in. Let alone the testimonies of what women expeienced in that hell hole....which is exactly what it was.

The police who went in the building had much to say what they saw....as did women who suffered in his care, even before this movie. Hard to read is an understatement....but some things need to be exposed fully!

Agree totally. Since when are freepers sissies???? If you could listen to the filth that Blumental questioned Kavanaugh about that was was not PG 13. This movie is PG 13. You use your imagination. Did you see Scindlers List

If you dont go see it then who will?

I don't think it matter. I was walking by the box office so I just bought one. I was going to go later that day but I decided I'd pass.

Go to the movie to honor baby A. You can see his photo at gosnellmovie.com This is not a gory photo. Its a photo of an almost term beautiful baby who lived for a little while. In the real Gosnell trial (not the movie), his 17 year old mother was a witness.

I recommend that you do not pass on this movie. The acting is phenomenal. The movie artfully filmed and edited (meaning partly that they leave things to your imagination and deductive powers instead of telling you every little detail).

I cried at the Tiller the Killer movie when they showed the pro-life demonstrators with all the tiny little crosses planted on a little hill. With this movie, just when I heard the cry of a baby edited in. There’s nothing gory really. Just a lot of red paint.

The black actors are out of this world, the Gosnell actor and others, including the witness who turns around on the sidewalk and walks into the arms of God. Just don’t miss it.

She was special. All the actors were terrific. Remember these actors put their careers on the line for this film. The least we can do is support them.

Honestly. I can’t hear well. It has to do with walking in front of a 155 howitzer in korea in about 1990. I didn’t know there was a fire mission. My head rang for 24 hours.
