There are 26 universities or colleges within a few miles of Portland Oregon. What we are seeing is the result of allowing 18 year old to vote.
These immature children come into an area that they do not have any roots, do not pay any property taxes, and expect to leave with in four years, yet they can decide the city government for the citizens that do live there and do pay taxes.
If 18 year old must have the vote then they should be required to vote in their home district not where they are just passing through.
Mayor Wheeler and his Police Dept. need to be sued by any and all citizens who suffered damages or even inconvenience due to his “non-intervention” policy. And then he and the do-nothing cops need to be prosecuted for misfeasance and conspiracy to violate the civil rights of those citizens.
I read the 74 year old driver is being investigated by the Portland popo!
Why the Hell should people pay local taxes then.

If the police force is not going to enforce laws, maintain order, and protect citizens then why bother to pay for one?

So are you saying the police acted on their own without any instructions from you? Is the investigation you are talking about just to find a scapegoat?
How could you feel safe when you have a government that not only refuses to maintain order, but is will to prosecute you for defending yourself?

It’s not about the 18 year olds. It’s about the massive epidemic of people who grew up in single parent homes and lacked hardly any discipline growing up. The vast majority of gun massacre perpetrators grew up in single parent households. Nowadays it’s blowing up in our own faces, with The their revolutions to take away one standard of etiquette after another.
In their way of phrasing, he did nothing to prevent or hinder their activities. Because the oppressed have a first amendment right too. Or something.
