The democrats have called for the impeachment of every republican president since Nixon. Obviously, they succeeded in removing Nixon, and while efforts against Reagan and GHWB never reached critical mass, the hatred of GWB was off the charts and his term was deemed illegitimate. The new breed of democrat now sees the demonization of the right and its leaders as standard operating procedure. With the passing of a generation of moderates like Hubert Humphrey and others like him the political spawn of Bill Ayers run the left. The divide has been cleaved by their side since day one.
