Yeah, but it doesn’t show Jordan with three times the support.

You don’t have to be sorry, I think you were probably right (maybe not about “zero chance” but McCarthy is a heavy favorite to be sure).

McCarthy was smart enough to stick by Trump during the election while Ryan peed himself over the Billy Bush tape, the President damn sure remembers this and may well endorse him and that would probably be the ball game. There was hardly any resistance to Ryan’s 2017 reelection after Trump backed him.

Obviously though Freepers hate McCarthys guts and are gonna resist.

I’d prefer Jordan myself of course but I’d put my money on McCarthy.

As for the bill, it sounds like a good one, no matter what McCarthy’s motives are in proposing it.

As for Newt, I’m not a big fan but yes some people on this thread are being harsh. I read the article and Newt is trying to hurt Pelosi’s chances of being Speaker, not Jordans.

Republicans will control the border.

Democrats will throw the border wide open to anyone who wants to enter.

The American people can decide which future is safer and more desirable.

I know which side I'm on...

Newt the Poot is as big a Swamp Critter as they come. He cannot be trusted. His Contract for America passed 8 of 10 of it’s promises. He NEVER introduced the Balanced Budget Amendment or Term Limits. He said he didn't’have the votes. SO WHAT. The object of voting on those bills would have been to identify the talkers from the doers. We needed to know the names of those RINOs who would have voted against the bills. Then we could have replaced them with conservatives. DO NOT SUPPORT McCARTHY. Jim Jordan is the real deal.

McCarty knows this bill will never pass in the Senate.

It’s election time theater.
