What what I've seen, there has been a mass exodus of leftists from government agencies. FBI, CIA and other swamp dwellers. It may be that this was all necessary to make the removal of her clearance meaningful. If she still had active contacts in place when they took it, she'd still have a means of getting that information.
Maybe now, it's difficult for her to re-establish those connections. She may truly be in the dark for it.
