A new poll from Washington’s eighth congressional district shows Republican Dino Rossi raking a commanding lead over Democrat Kim Schrier in the wake of Democrats’ failed smear attempt on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
The poll, published Wednesday, shows Rossi with a commanding 10-point lead in the battleground district in his race against Schrier to replace retiring Rep. Dave Reichert (R-WA) in one of the districts that could determine the fate of the majority of the House of Representatives.
At 49 percent, Rossi leads Schrier’s 39 percent, well outside the poll’s five percent margin of error. The survey of 400 eligible voters was conducted from Oct. 4 to Oct. 9 by Crosscut/Elway.
In a piece on the poll, Crosscut’s David Kroman wrote that this was unmistakably due to the Democrats’ mishandling of the Kavanaugh confirmation.
“Rossi, a former state senator and real-estate investor, saw an especially large bump last weekend, claiming a 24-point advantage among voters surveyed in the hours and days immediately after the U.S. Senate’s vote to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh,” Kroman wrote. “Those respondents made up nearly a third of the total voters surveyed.”

I really hope Dino Rossi wins this time as he was CHEATED/SCREWED/BACKSTABBED by the Dems the last time he ran for public office.

This is on top of the 5 House seats considered up for grabs in Ohio all having the Republican leading and the 7 such House seats in Florida all having the Republican leading.
There are supposedly 100 seats that are competitive so each time the Republican takes one, the Democrats’ margin for error gets smaller and smaller. They need to end up +23 and its starting to look like they won’t get there.
Hope to see a similar poll for Dave Bratt.

Dino is getting my vote, but as far as living here, if you like LOTS of traffic, homeless, meth heads and the crime that comes with all that you can have it. Hubby and I are giving it probably another 10 years and we’re gone. I live in Graham. It used to be just a small podunk town 20 years ago. Not anymore. Unless you want something WAY out, like past Eatonville, on the way to Mt. Rainier.
Wow, it does seem that there are civil, decent, people who actually think for themselves in the State of Washington...cool.

Didn’t Rossi get screwed a couple times against Gregoire?
Rossi is managing to pull in some of Washington’s confused independent voters because he’s a committed “anti-Trumper” and will probably mimick the behavior of Paul Ryan and Jaime Herrera Beutler.
There was a Poltico article yesterday that included Bratt and it indicateed he was back in the lead and appeared OK for the moment.
That’s fine because it is their votes in the House that count. Even the Never Trumpers almost always vote the right way.

Virtually the entire population east of the Cascades fits that description. The nutcases are concentrated along the coast, like OR and CA.
It’s not easy. Especially being a conservative MUSICIAN in the blue blue area of Puget Sound. Rossi got my vote when he ran for gov. I was FURIOUS when they ‘found’ the extra votes for Gregoire. I refuse to go to Seattle anymore its become such a crap hole. You drive through on I-5 and there are TONS of homeless camps along the freeway. Last time I was there was a year ago for a Gillian Welch concert, and I felt very uncomfortable without my gun.
