OTOH Scalia’s best friend on the Supreme Court was Ruth Bader Ginsburg, so her endorsement of Kavanaugh could mean nothing more than that she likes him and believes that he is qualified for SCOTUS.

It could have nothing to do with what she thinks his philosophy is versus her own. She would know Kavanaugh from his time as one of Justice Kennedy’s staff.
