Just one day after their mid-Judiciary Committee chat that helped to launch the FBI probe of the accusations against Brett Kavanaugh, Sens. Chris Coons and Jeff Flake made an appearance at the Global Citizens Festival, an annual concert held on the week of the United Nations’ General Assembly.
“Hi, global citizen. I’m Chris Coons, a Democrat from Delaware,” Coons said.
“And I’m Jeff Flake, a Republican from Arizona,” Flake added.
“It was our personal relationship that made the politics of compromise that prevailed yesterday possible,” Coon said.
“So we’re here to support bipartisan leadership on foreign aid,” Flake added.
Then, after Coons said that they want to “see democracy working here at home,” Flake continued on: “Thanks to all of you global citizens who have contacted us this year, you have texted, you have called, you have touched our hearts. Keep calling.”
Coons added: “There are people’s voices we need to hear from around the world and here in our own country. So keep reaching out because we hear you and we need to keep hearing from you.”
“ So feel free to join me in an elevator anytime,” Flake quipped, drawing a strong reaction from the crowd.

I’m not sure what his plans are after he leaves office, but I do think he’s narrowed down opportunities. Flake is a flake. Maybe sell used cars?

Hi I’m Jeff Flake and I love to ruin people’s lives. I know I’m never ever nor was I ever ever going to vote for this guy Kavanaugh. But rather than coming out and saying it I thought it would be neato to drag Kavanaugh and his family through another week of hell.

(At this point Mr. Flake, I’d be careful what you wish for. The next leftist that joins you in an elevator might be under the misimpression that stronger means of persuasion are necessary. In short, it might turn out to be your last elevator ride.)
Nowing how much advance planning down to the second is required for these events, including speech review and timing, IMO Flake sandbagged Grassley and the rest of the GOP committee members.
And his statement about being open to confirming Kavanaugh if the FBI report finds nothing is outright lying bovine excrement..

I suspect Romney is going to try and be the next McCain.
Watch for the MSM to continue attacks on Graham and begin to be friendly to Romney.
All this could vanish if the Senate leadership would do their jobs and weed out these infiltrators.
It was reported that Coons was seen weeping when he learned that his BB Flake was voting for Kavanaugh. Guess they’ve had a reconciliation since then.
That’s the problem. If I did exactly what those broads did, I would be arrested.
