Let's Help Oust Whitehouse (RI) from the Senate
9/29/2017 | Vanity

Posted on 09/29/2018 10:41:19 PM PDT by nerdgirl

Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, the aristocratic leftist from Rhode Island, put on one of the sleaziest displays ever seen in the history of American politics the other day.

His revolting insistence that Kavanaugh and his Catholic teenage classmates, were in fact referring to deviant behaviors such as 3 ways and rapes rather than innocent behaviors of teenage boys like farting and the F word - was revolting to its core.

He must be defeated.

Good news: he has an opponent that some sources suggest could be internally polling as high as 40% to Whitehouse's 48%, with 12% undecideds in Rhode Island. And that was before his sickening display of amorality on Thursday.

I signed up today to volunteer for Republican Bob Flanders. His website his here.

Let's FREEP the Rhode Island Senate race!!!!

I’d love to somehow magically have $10 million show up in the campaign accounts of every nominee including in Rhode Island...of course that’s not within my power. Certainly doable if even a handful of Trump / GOP supporters would send an average donation of just $1.00 to each nominee - which is obviously affordable if they only knew how - but how do you organize that?

Sen Whitehouse wasn’t really on my radar until the BK hearings, but, man, what a snotty bastard. His inquisition about the yearbook was one of the most despicable displays by a politician I’ve ever seen. His ultra-waspish alma mater, St Paul’s, has had no shortage of sex scandals. Maybe his time there should be put under a microscope. Also, reading a bit about the SOB, apparently there’s a fairly strong case that he engaged in insider stock trading.

I think this describes him pretty well:

He really is the most noxious fume in the room.   If you can kick him out of office, nerdgirl, that would be great!   (Just looking at him makes you want to forcefully expel him, even before you hear the loathsome nonsense he spews from his putrid mouth!)

Whitehouse is a pig.

Where’s the RNC on Bob Flanders? Assuming the RNC still exists...

I just posted in another thread that Swetnik has been tossed by the WH as not credible.

Mister Whitehouse needs to publically apologize to America, to the Senate Committee, and especially to Judge Kavanaugh and his family, for repeating non-credible rumor and salacious innuendo. First thing Monday morning. Then he can go home with his stupid mind-in-the-gutter pervert tail between his legs and cry in his pillow.

ok, wait, nerdgirl. WSJ is running with the story and so is NBC, but Trump put out a tweet after the rally that the reporting is incorrect. So Whitehouse’s apology can wait until somebody cleans up their reporting.

WIKI—During the passing of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, Whitehouse cautioned that conservative opposition to the bill was moving toward historical incidences of mob violence, saying, “Too many colleagues are embarked on a desperate, no-holds-barred mission of propaganda, obstruction and fear...cautions us of the excesses to which these malignant, vindictive passions can ultimately lead. Tumbrils have rolled through taunting crowds. Broken glass has sparkled in darkened streets. Strange fruit has hung from southern trees”.[18]

In December 2009, Whitehouse said “birthers”, “fanatics”, and “people running around in right-wing militia and Aryan support groups” oppose Obamacare.[19]

In September 2017, Whitehouse announced he would co-sponsor the Medicare For All Act alongside sixteen of his Senate colleagues.[20]

EXCERPT FROM SEN GRASSLEY’S LETTER TO THE DOJ:

According to Senator Whitehouse and his Committee staff, on the morning of September 24, 2018, Mr. Kavanaugh. Mr. [REDACTED] acquaintance of Mr. [REDACTED] contacted the Senator’s office to report an allegation of sexual misconduct by Judge claimed that in August of 1985, Judge Kavanaugh sexually assaulted a close acquaintance of Mr. [REDACTED] on a boat in the harbor at Newport, Rhode Island.

Committee staff took Mr.[REDACTED]’s allegation seriously, and asked Judge Kavanaugh numerous questions about it under penalty of felony during an interview on September 25, 2018.

He categorically denied the allegation. On September 26, 2018, the Committee publicly released a redacted transcript of that interview, with Mr.[REDACTED]’s name redacted. Afterwards, at 7:51 pm that same evening, Mr. [REDACTED] “recanted” and apologized for his allegation via social media. I have enclosed the relevant materials documenting these facts.

Committee investigations in support of the judicial nomination process are an essential part of the Committee’s constitutional role. The Committee is grateful to citizens who come forward with relevant information in good faith, even if they are not one hundred percent sure about what they know. But when individuals provide fabricated allegations to the Committee, diverting Committee resources during time-sensitive investigations, it materially impedes our work.

Such acts are not only unfair; they are potentially illegal. It is illegal to make materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statements to Congressional investigators. It is illegal to obstruct Committee investigations.

Here is a link to the hearing. Whitehouse’s sleazy display starts at the 1:27:25 mark.

https://www.c-span.org/video/?451895-2/supreme-court-nominee-brett-kavanaugh-sexual-assault-hearing-judge-kavanaugh-testimony&playEvent

Kavanaugh was thoroughly prepared for the questioning and made Whitehouse look like a fool. The Judge gave him fair warning. He said, “If you’re worried about my yearbook, have at it, Senator.” Cornyn was up next and said, “Judge, I can’t think of a more embarrassing scandal for the US Senate since the McCarthy hearings, when the comment was about the cruelty of the process toward the people involved, and the question was asked, ‘have you no sense of decency?’, and I’m afraid we have lost that, at least for the time being.”

I am from RI and I am sickened and disgusted by the malevolent leftist mendacious behavior this week by my Senator. On Friday I had the great pleasure of voting (by absentee ballot) for his opponent Flanders. It’s the best I can do in a democracy. I have been mentally composing a letter to him since his creepy attack-dog remarks during the earlier Kavanaugh hearing when he misled the people in the most craven and clownish way possible. His stunning level of lies made me nauseous both times. I want to weep for our beloved republic when sociopathic liars like him are leading a major political party.

It is my impression that Rhode Island is even worse than Massachusetts as far as entrenched Democrats go. At least we had Scott Brown until he went squish. After beating “Marsha” (What Patches called her) Chokely (what I call her) he went all soft facing Fauxahantas. He ran as Newt Gingrich against Marsha Chokely and as Marsha Chokely against Fauxahantas.

Anyway, I wish you luck. Even Patches would be an improvement. At least he knows that he’s a worthless nonentity.

Good luck.

Rhode Island is one of the most politically corrupt DemocRat enclaves in America, peopled by Marxisy idiots.

Even when they elect Republicans they are uber RINOS like the Chafees.

That’s a tough one. Having Weldon representing R.I. may be good for keeping two or three other seats from the South/Midwest solid red.

I am from Virginia, but I sent Flanders a donation last night, I looked over his record and was not too excited (he is a little squishy where he should be strong, like the second amendment). But he’s the best we are going to get from that state. I sent a very large donation earlier to Corey Stewart, who is the real deal for Virginia. But we have far too many liberal drones in Northern Virginia to overcome that hurdle.
