I believe just the opposite. The Dems have won elections mostly by pretending to be moderates, and then when elected vote 100% with the party. This is the first time since the Clintons overstepped that they have been exposed for what they really are: extremists out of the mainstream. The mainstream has been paying attention, and they are furious are what has happened to Kavanaugh.

I think that normal people are thoroughly disgusted with the treatment by rats of a good and honest family man. Assuming the FBI finds nothing and the repubs man up and confirm him, there will be screeching outrage only from those who would not have voted republican anyway. Normal people will see justice triumph and approve.
