As I said, I had gone about 30 hours without sleep, so I wish I could answer that after a 2 hour crash.

Jeff Flake is a walking personification of the fetal position.

And unfortunately he has emboldened the left to verbally assault representatives in the future, since he cave to it. Each time someone caves, the left sees this as a tactic that “works”

BTW - saw the lady that assaulted him in the elevator this morning on GMA grinning ear to ear - guess her trauma wasn’t so bad after all.

You are thinking small ball. I didn’t say it helped R’s with the nomination I said it helped R’s.

The longer this drags the more crazy the Dems behave closer to the election...

And the crazier they behave and the closer to the election it gets the better the GOP will do... provides they confirm.

Calm down and stop thinking small

Collusion.

The senate judiciary committee should subpoena all records, phone calls, emails and texts by Sen. Feinstein and her staff.

Not thinking small, but I don’t sense that most Americans today take much time to think critically anymore. They digest soundbites of information specially prepared by their media chefs. They seldom stop to examine what they’ve just consumed. I talked to a guy at a business conference this week who said the the FBI should investigate both Ford and Kav. Decent fellow, but no clue that the FBI doesn’t launch probes at state level. He insisted they could interview the “witnesses” at the party. I told him there were none. “Well, I’m sure the FBI has protocols for this kind of stuff,” he says.

I asked him where the FBI ought to start an investigation, since no one has yet to identify:
A) a crime scene
B) an address/location
C) a specific day/month
D) corroboating witnesses
E) forensics
F)police reports etc.

I next asked him what he would do if I accused him of something he could not disprove. His response? “I really don’t know about these things, but my wife is a lawyer.” He is a simpleton wearing an expensive suit. And he had a friend there nodding in agreement the whole time. They’ll both probably vote. Nether was outraged at the way Kavanaugh is being treated. Their opinions are not their own. It’s profoundly sad, but this is the new world we live in. That’s the big picture, not thinking small. And we had best come to grips with it.

You are thinking small ball. You are angry they didn’t vote, I am too..
But lingering on that is foolish

The investigation is pointless. It won’t change anything, and as I said before I don’t expect anything to change... Kavanaugh will get confirmed

I think the investigation is pointless, but the fact it means another week or
Of the Dems acting like moo bats moves their crazy closer to Election Day and the crazier they act, and the closer to Election Day they act crazy the better the GOP does in the election.

Remember, Flake was a lobbyist for a mining company in Namibia before he was a senator. He is probably leaving office anticipating an earlier return to lobbying

There is estimated to be over twelve thousand Lobbyists in Washington. Congresspersons and staffers “go downtown” to become lobbyists and the big draw is money. This revolving-door activity lets elected officials persons supposedly representing the interests of citizens then become involved with big-money interests of for-profit corporations or special interest groups.

The world of K Street means that former congress members, even with “modest seniority,” can move into jobs paying $1 million or more annually not including bonuses. So, public officials become taken over by private interests.

Trump tries to “Drain the Swamp” by closing the loopholes in the Lobbying Disclosure Act used to influence policy without disclosing their activities. His executive order goes further than only restricting registered lobbyists. It includes “lobbying activities,” which includes preparing and strategizing for contacts other people make.
