Westwood One is shaking up its weekday afternoon Conservative Talk block in January 2019.
Michael Savage’s “The Savage Nation” will cut back from three hours to one hour daily from 3-4pm eastern while Ben Shapiro takes over the 4-6pm slot. Cumulus launched Ben Shapiro on six stations in April including a live clearance on 770 WABC New York and delayed clearances on WMAL Washington DC, WLS Chicago, WYAY Atlanta, and KABC Los Angeles. The live show will be separate from Shapiro’s daily podcast.
It is that daily podcast/live broadcast model that Savage will switch to. He will host the daily afternoon show as well as a separate daily podcast in January.

Something wrong with Savage?
Savage cooked himself, I used to listen to him, then he went total anti Trump because something to do with not being invited to every Trump thing since he was elected President.
He alienated his base, plus all he wants to do is sell you whatever book he crapped out every five minutes.

I used to listen to him when I was snowplowing years ago. He is still spending his time peddling books?
Ben is not a Never Trumper.
He is more of a Sometimes Trumper.
I listen to his podcasts. He has some good stuff. Some things I discount.
Anything’s an improvement over Savage’s constant self-glorification, bashing of other talk show hosts, and just general obnoxiousness and insanity. Very tiresome.
I listened to Savage once for about 5 minutes.
I could not take it.
Savage is a weird, almost incoherent egotist ranting on and on without anything worthwhile to say.
Maybe he was better at in the past but I could not listen to him.

Besides hating President Trump, Shapiro has the most annoying, nasal, rapid fire staccato voice - akin to Jiminy Cricket on speed. That being said, I can’t stand him.
I am a big fan of Shapiro’s. I like his skepticism. I’d say he is outside of the Trump Lovers circle jerk that tends to happen. So if he believes something can agree with, I figure its a good indication that it is most likely true or right.

We are not Shapiro’s audience. We need to bring young people in to the fold. I can’t stand Savage NOR Levin. Only Rush. Time for some new blood people. On a personal note... isn’t it funny that so many conservative commentators and personalities are Jewish.

Savage is an old man, so I understand him cutting back his time—but Shapiro is pathetic.
