Jane Mayer said on Monday that Deborah Ramirez, who accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexually harassing her, told her New Yorker colleague Ronan Farrow that she couldn’t be sure of the Supreme Court nominee’s guilt.
Confronted with a New York Times report indicating Ramirez expressed doubts about Kavanaugh’s guilt to former Yale classmates, Mayer said Ramirez shared those doubts before they published their bombshell report on Sunday.
“To Ronan she said she wasn’t absolutely certain, she needed to make certain before she was going to say anything publicly. She remembered the specifics, the graphic specifics, and she tried to remember for sure who that man was who was in her face,” she told MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough.“With all due respect to the New York Times, which is the best paper in America, just because they couldn’t get the story and speak to her or find the person that we found, who remembered it from back then, doesn’t mean it’s not true.”
Ramirez, who opted to come forward after learning Senate Democrats were independently investigating the incident, claims Kavanaugh drunkenly thrust his penis in her face during a dorm party at Yale when he was a freshman.
Kavanaugh has vigorously denied the charge and painted it as a politically motivated smear in the same vein as the allegation that he pinned down Christine Blasey Ford and tried to remove her clothing when they were in high-school.
There are no eyewitness accounts included in the story and several of Kavanaugh’s friends and roommates from his time at Yale, some of whom were said to have been in the room, released a statement denying that the assault ever took place.
Ford and Kavanaugh are scheduled to testify publicly before the Senate Judiciary Committee Thursday.
Ronan created sooo much #metoo clout and cred on real, verifiable, repeat offenders.
Now, apparently, it’s time to call in that cred. And for what? Not for the sake of a real victim. They know what’s really up. This built up cache is being spent to save Roe
I always figured that Ronan was a decent guy..after all he did a very thorough investigation of Harvey Weinstein, but with this story..he just DESTROYED any credibility he used to have. I considered him fair even though he is a liberal, but with this, he investigated it, and found NO ONE to verify her story and he still ran with it
Because to the Left it’s, “Abortion Über Alles”.
His old man, Frank, is spinning.
It probably hasn’t occurred to him yet that from this day forward, no one will believe anything he writes. All he saw was the chance to pile into the Trump bashing and Kavanaugh bashing. As a journalist, once you lose your credibility, you can never get it back.
Even months ago I was praising Ronan, who I know is a liberal but I figured he’s a fair guy, he’s gone after BIG TIME Democrat donors and brought them down with actual INVESTIGATING..with this, yeah he investigated, found NO ONE to confirm her story was even true, and still ran with it..Heck even NBC, the New York Slimes, AND the Washington Post wanted NOTHING to do with this nonsense what does that tell you

I’d say Farrow just shot his reputation. He used to back up he reveals. Not this last one.
He’ll still be a hero to the Left, no matter what...........................

Bingo. Disgusting and (mildly) surprising. Ronan Farrow has always been a big supporter of his mother, Mia Farrow. Mia Farrow is a nut in many ways, including politically, but she did raise all those children Catholic — taking them to Mass every week — and adopted several children with severe disabilities. That her devoted son would be as hooked on abortion as everyone else is pathetic.
What came first, Ugliness so they became Democrat, or became Ugly because of being a DEmocrat.
