I find it interesting that none of this turned up during the vetting Kavanaugh went through to be a judge, nor when Trump’s people vetted him for SCOTUS. Dems are scum...

Kavanaugh can’t file criminal charges. He can be the plaintiff in a civil lawsuit for defamation.

I would be interested in knowing what potential criminal charges ( other than lying to the Senate, which is a felony) could be brought related to this.

It didn’t turn up because it is completely fabricated.

Agreed, but:

Find a lawyer.

Find a judge.

The system is rigged against conservatives.

The story of the accuser has been substantially nonfalsifiable — not only the date is not specific, even (IIRC) the year is. So is the location. So proving she is not telling the truth it is almost impossible to prove she is a liar. And thus not a single detail of her claim has been confirmed.

She did specify people who were there, but everyone of them has denied being there, or any memory of attending the party.

In addition, once these secondary, borderline insane claims came out, there was no desire by his opponents to get those making them before the committee as quickly as possible. Instead, there was only clamor for more delay. She does not want to go before the committee, and made all sorts of demands that only someone worried about being caught lying would make. that centuries of Anglo-American tradition be defied. To his credit, Sen. Grassley has refused.

While there are Internet rumors that she is in Maryland waiting to testify, there is no record of what would undoubtedly be the major event of her driving from California to DC. Now we are past the point where the latter would be feasible by Thursday.

I deduce (unless she is indeed in Maryland) that they are desperate not to put her before the committee under oath. The GOP needs to stick to its guns and hold the hearing as scheduled on Thursday. They have announced that she will testify first, and will presumably be interrogated by an attorney with a lot of experience in such questioning, and then Judge Kavanaugh will defend himself (and also undergo interrogation).

That is if she shows up at all. If she testifies and the Senate Judiciary committee refers to the Justice Department for perjury (which they would at this point because Judge Kavanaugh has been treated so disgracefully, the consequences will be most serious. Donald Trump is a vengeful man who never forgets.

So the strategy is to use increasingly revolting accusations to get the judge to withdraw. But it seems that to his immense credit (and that of his family) he will not. Thus, she must testify, provided only that the SJC sticks to the Thursday schedule. If she does testify the preposterousness of her story will emerge. All the Democrats will be able to do is fulminate against a bunch of men not believing the woman.

And in the end, it will come down to Sens. Snowe, Murkowski and Flake. As it always has. Mitch McConnell is often criticized for not being a reliable conservative, but he does know how to count, and has made unambiguous predictions that the judge will be confirmed. If the committee hearing goes ahead as scheduled on Thursday, and if the judge does not withdraw, he will become a justice.

If "political gain" qualifies, the perpetrators and principles of this scripted midterm stagecraft, meets the definition of blackmail perfectly.

Excellent point.

If Democrats are raising money on this issue, “political gain” qualifies as meeting the definition of criminal blackmail.

Ford has made all sorts of nuanced demands that only someone worried about being caught lying would make.

Since this accuser is not directly involved in politics, we can safely assume the "Perjury Trap Blues" is
being orchestrated by political insiders like Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, the DNC, and other midterm dreamers.

Imagine five People standing together outside one Night when one of them says, look it’s a Flying Saucer.

The other four People look up and see nothing.

Who would be believed? Apparently Democrat Senators and their Supporters would believe there was a Flying Saucer. (but not really)

Now, here’s the dirty little secret. None of the Democrat Senators think this Woman is rational. They may think Ford experienced something, but teyt all know that 17 Year Old Bret Kavanaugh was not anywhere near there when “something” happened to her.

If we could only Waterboard those Rat Senators and get to the truth. Oh well.

Justice itself is on trial here.   And the way truth is being discovered is similar to the Mueller investigation.  A witch hunt tries to frame an innocent man, and in the course of that frame up, the accusers expose themselves as frauds.

I'm delighted Kavanaugh came forward to defend himself in a respectful and firm way.  It would have been easy for him to remain silent, but he chose to challenge every man's right to be protected from false accusations and defamation of character.  He also tempered his remarks to convey strength yet not appear heavy-handed.

He's already proving his mettle as a Justice, a man with the courage to stick to stand for the just principles of our Law.  This trial by fire is showing him to be exactly what we want: a justice of great gravity who will defend our Constitution and civil society.

A tear of pride came to Lady Freedom's eyes knowing a great man of such caliber will soon be sitting on We the People's Supreme Court.

What I find interesting about the letter is it reads like it was written by a 6th grader in remedial english. It doesn’t read like it was written by someone with a doctorate degree. I could certainly believe Feinstein wrote it.

I have not seen “the letter” and thought DiFi was secreting it.

Can you tell me where I can go to find it? In the overall scheme of things it is a historical Aerican document
