I think so as well....but it’s still a diplomatic thing so we’re playing without spending a cent.

He pulled out if you read the article.....he’s not into rebuilding other countries..but he may use it as leverage if he thinks it will get long term results on the Interational Stage....time will tell. But Iran will never let go of their grip on Syria...it plays a huge roll in their agenda.

That’s going to be so regardless of anything we do or not. Islam has their agenda with or without anything we do.

I agree....Trumps putting a stop to that as we’ve seen already. It’s really great seeing him step up and call it like it is!

Syria is a secular state. The US Govt/McCain’s terrorist headchopper proxies are the one’s trying to force Islam on everyone. You wouldn’t know any of this watching Faux News or CNN.

Why should we pay for it any time and any way? It will always be a 3rd world country regardless.

It’s not about paying...it’s about diplomatic ‘leverage’.

Read the word of Yehova!

Damascus will soon become an ash heap, but ultimately Syria is part of the land given to the seed of Abraham (Israel).

You’re wrong.... Sunni make up the largest religious group in Syria. Syria is a unitary republic consisting of 14 governorates and is the only country that politically espouses Ba’athism....Further all children (except christians) are taught Islam and Qur’an at school.

They have no pain....just this intense steady hatred. They are well past ‘feeling’ anything other than this regardless what he does.

I thought that back at the end of WWII, Israel was set up for the Jews, Lebanon for the Christians and Jordan and Syria for the Muzzies [though I’m willing to stipulate that Syria was always way more complex than the Diplomats could conceive]..

True enough. The USA does have blood on its hands from Obama’s Arab Spring initiative in Syria and the Bush ‘Democracy Project’ in Iraq. That said any money the US sends will be snapped up by the usual suspects.

Sure they’re in pain.

Its like having your pretty new Xmas bicycle stolen because you left it on the sidewalk to show off.

Grok it!

Uh....”we” are not going to pay for reconstruction of Syria.

Period.

Right, Nikki?

99% agreed (which is darn good, on FR!) My 1% “hedge” is that if Iran was sufficiently weakened, and the Saudis persuaded to end run the whole pipeline issue and go with a tanker fleet (surely can not be more expensive than unending conflict), as well as several other “if’s”, this might leave Syria open to “real” US / Russian cooperation in which we rebuild a few villages...

Ok, it is a lot of ifs...!

I’m sorry but why would we pay for ANY reconstruction of Syria or any other nation, for that matter?

Yes, yes.. Of course. Because we are not deeply enough in debt now. We need trillions more to pay off. Oh, and there's that pesky thing about corruption in the contracting business to do the 'reconstruction'. Mmmmm hmmmmmm..

We need to figure out a way to get those who seek to sign us up for this kind of sh___, out of office and, preferably, fed to hungry sharks.
