If she didn't want to fly, that should've come up the first time she was asked to get there on Monday. At that point, there was plenty of time to drive, or take a train or bus.

I wonder if this thing who's smart enough to get a doctorate didn't think things through. Did she think that all it would take was an allegation and it would stop Kavanaugh?
