DC: Nellie Ohr and James Baker Refusing to Testify to Congress
Conservative Treehouse ^ | September 20, 2018 | Sundance

Posted on 09/20/2018 2:11:46 PM PDT by detective

According to sources responding to The Daily Caller, Nellie Ohr and James Baker are refusing to willingly testify to the joint House Oversight and Judiciary committee chaired by Bob Goodlatte. Nellie’s husband Bruce Ohr, a current DOJ official, previously testified to the committee; however Nellie Ohr is not in government and may have to be subpoenaed if Chairman Goodlatte wants her testimony. She was originally schedule to appear tomorrow.

UPDATE – “The Committee continues to seek the testimony of Nellie Ohr and Jim Baker and will compel their testimony if necessary.”

Nellie Ohr was a FusionGPS employee and a bridge of contact between FusionGPS and Christopher Steele. There are strong indications Nellie Ohr may have actually authored a considerable portion of the Steele Dossier for use by the FBI. In prior testimony FusionGPS founder, Glenn Simpson, was less than forthcoming about Nellie Ohr’s engagements; and generally misled -direct and by omission- both the Senate and House intelligence committees about Mrs. Ohr.

Additionally, The Daily Caller is reporting that former FBI Chief Legal Counsel James Baker is also refusing to cooperate. Mr. Baker was removed from his position in December 2017, and left the FBI May 4th, 2018, after spending five months in employment limbo.

>>They should be imprisoned for refusing to testify.<<

But they won’t be. They won’t even get a parking ticket.

There is ZERO impetus for ANYONE to appear before Congress who is not an administration official. Even Federal employees are giving all of Congress these finger these days. Canny leftists have come to this realization — only appear if you can advance your agenda. Guilty of something? Tell Congress to “F off.”

Being subpoenaed to testify before Congress is like the UN demanding action.

Gowdy is the best example — a Chihuahua with no teeth.

Fine! But let them do in in public. The People need to see first-hand, what colossal pieces of $hit these people are. By their non-answers, most people will understand who they are and what they attempted to do.

Right before the election would be good timing for this spectacle.

“But they won’t be. They won’t even get a parking ticket.”

I was saying what I think should happen.

Not what the most likely outcome would be.

I wasn’t dinging you — I was just point out what we all now.

Unless and until Congress imprisons someone for ignoring a subpoena and/or lying in sworn testimony Congressional “hearings” will just be Judy Garland/Mickey Rooney movies.

If nothing else, the subpoenas should include “else you will be subject to targeting by the IRS.” THAT is a punishment to be feared.

I don’t get it. This is a coup, for heaven’s sake. And still DC Republicans are dragging their feet.

Eventually the Republicans will figure out that there’s a pattern here.

Whoa Nellie! Have we ever seen Nellie and Bruce in the same room at the same time? "She" got a nice clean shave on that mustache.

They are NOT refusing to testify.

They are refusing to testify voluntarily. Any American citizen who would voluntarily testify, in public, before a committee of Congress (and I was offered the chance once) should have their head examined.
