Unfortunately, there seem to be a lot of naive women out there. I watch Discovery ID a lot, and you would not believe how many women accept a ride with a complete stranger, walk home alone from a bar at 2 am, etc. In a perfect world, they would be safe, but this world is far from perfect.
Very sad. My daughter had designs on moving to that area. I nixed it. Very sorry for the victim and her family.
Drive to the richest neighborhood in DC, and jog there.

Oh yea....Temple, Penn, Drexel.... you name it. And they take no responsibility for the safety of these people. Then you have grade school kids walking to Germantown Friends and other private schools the libs send their kids to....because, you know, they “support public schools”.
I don’t think so! :-D These days, except for my race days, I do my running on a treadmill...not NEARLY as effective or difficult, but safer.
