Trump: ‘I Don’t Have An Attorney General’
The Hill ^ | September 18, 2018.

President Trump in an Oval Office interview with Hill.TV launched one of his most ferocious broadsides to date against Jeff Sessions, suggesting the attorney general was essentially AWOL and performing badly on a variety of issues,

“I don’t have an Attorney General. It’s very sad,” Trump told Hill.TV in an extensive and free-wheeling interview Tuesday from the Oval Office.

The president has long excoriated Sessions for his March2017 decision to recuse himself from the Russia collusion investigation. But on Tuesday he suggested he is frustrated by Sessions' performance on far more than that.

“I’m not happy at the border, I’m not happy with numerous things, not just this,” he said.

“He gets in and probably because of the experience that he had going through the nominating when somebody asked him the first question about Hillary Clinton or something he said ‘I recuse myself, I recuse myself,’" Trump said.

“And now it turned out he didn’t have to recuse himself. Actually, the FBI reported shortly thereafter any reason for him to recuse himself. And it’s very sad what happened.”

The FBI in an early 2017 email to a Sessions aide, made public last December, concluded that Sessions did not need to reveal contacts with foreign government officials that were made in the course of his work as a senator.

With all due respect, Mr. President, you picked him.
You need to look in the mirror.

Oh, so he’s been fired then? No?

It was like absolutely zero homework done on Sessions and his background. The guy was a GOP-pretender for all those years in Alabama, and no one really dug into that.

True, but he picked a guy who he thought was loyal to the Rule of Law and wounldn’t back down. With so much information, text messages, emails, testimony, and the conflicts of interest that have been made public, Sessions could/should be doing more and we all know it. He has chosen to sit back and let Mueller and Rosenstein run unaccountable.

He’s like Coach Klein in, The Waterboy. Hopefully, this is all an old school, Rope a Dope, but I’m tired of it. As are millions of others.

The President could clear the debt, pay off all the student loans, cure cancer, house the homeless, feed the hungry and they’d still challenge, resist and oppose him at every turn.

Why not let the man do his job?

No, President Trump, America doesn’t have an AG. The little cretin, Sessions, is rubber stamping illegal activity and allowing it thrive and continue.

Our so-called DOJ promotes everything but justice.

Jeff Sessions must expect some very large payoff for his subversion.

Your “mirror” comment is a bit misplaced, imho.

Trump had every reason to believe Sessions would be firm. DJT has good reason to be disappointed in the recusal.

You are correct. I can’t figure out why he hasn’t fired the laggard. Texting his displeasure makes no sense.

Mr. Trump,

You’re the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

If you don’t like the guy YOU hired as A.G., FIRE HIM AND GET ONE THAT DOES THE JOB!

What happens IF he fires him? The Dems will NOT confirm a replacement; they’ve said as much.

Who moves up in the rotation? Rosenstein? *SNORT*

I must say I am tired of hearing him complain about Sessions and the pitiful job he is doing. FIRE HIS A$$! I can only hope that there is something going on with this that we know nothing about and hopefully it is a YUGE October surprise.

I think he is hoping that Sessions will be sufficiently embarrassed and quit. Otherwise, he will fire him after the Midterms.

The chilling part of this tweet is that I think it reveals Sessions is onboard with those fighting the declassification.
