Leading congressional Democrats are looking to stall the process to release documents related to the Russia investigation, which President Donald Trump ordered declassified on Monday.
Reps. Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff and Sens. Chuck Schumer and Mark Warner, sent a letter Tuesday asking Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, FBI Director Christopher Wray and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats to provide an “immediate briefing” to the Gang of Eight before declassifying and releasing the documents.
The four Democrats expressed “profound alarm” at Trump’s order to declassify the records.
Trump ordered the Justice Department and Office of the Director of National Intelligence to begin the process to declassify 21 pages from a June 2017 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) application taken out against former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

They don’t hold classification/declassification authority to have any say in this.
This is most certainly true. Let there be no confusion. It is a matter for the Executive Branch to invoke and execute.
The FBI and DOJ were going to stall anyway, this gives them more cover.
like carlson said tonight- the left have taken over now and all men are liars, and women are saints who must be believed no matter what (Except of course when they accuse people like bill clinton or keith ellison, or ted kennedy etc)- but when it comes to accusations against republicans, all women must be believed no matter what- The left are dictating the conversations now- Mitch McConnel NEEDS to stand up and say “This nonsense stops NOW!- This is a ‘He said she said’ situation that can’t be proved by either party, and an investigation is totally unwarranted because of this- If this woman has prove, then provide it on monday- otherwise the vote goes forward because of lack of evidence.”

Of course not. But this is not their last ditch attempt. They will find an Obamajudge and try to get a preliminary injunction to move the release until after the midterm elections.

It is my opinion that the “anonymous” Op Ed from last week, was penned by Dan Coats.
Look who the first name to whom the letter is addressed: Dan Coats.
I feel that he is one of the ones who will slow walk the release of the docs. That’s how he is “steering the President to the right way” so we will never see said docs.
Addressed to coats, rosenstein and wray. I noticed that southern fried rat bastard was left off the list...They must figure he’s not making any decisions—Recused from everything.
