President Donald Trump on Tuesday responded to the news that the Senate has scheduled a hearing on Monday to consider allegations that his Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, sexually assaulted a woman when he was in high school.
Trump said that the FBI should not be involved further investigating the Kavanaugh allegations.
Kavanaugh's nomination has been in turmoil since the explosive allegations by Christine Blasey Ford, who said that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her at a party when they were both teenagers.
Ford's allegation became public on September 16, just days before the Senate Judiciary Committee was scheduled to vote on Kavanaugh's confirmation, which had seemed all but assured.

The FBI cannot be involved unless liberal fascist Ford has probably committed a crime. Maybe there is a civil rights crime at hand, in violation of Kavanaugh.

The FBI can’t be trusted. They’ll be trying to turn it into a “lyin’ to da FBI” and “flippin’ conservatives for prison time” contest. The FBI needs to be “shut down” until it can be depoliticized and deweaponized.
They should have the hearing - with or without her - and let the chips fall where they may.
If she doesn’t show up there’s no reason for a hearing. Schedule the vote and be done with it.

No need for further FBI investigation since they already did so in July and dismissed this. Nothing new presented (correct?), so end of story. Besides, if she is now not willing to attend, by her choice, againd, end of story. The Senate next needs to say all of this was unsubstantiated, needs to be ignored, censure Feinstein for bringing it public in the manner she did, and get moving with a vote.
Yesterda’s “first base” is today’s sexual assault. I guarantee you if she’d called the cops in 1982 and said some dude touched her body through her clothes while they were at a party where alcohol was present they would have hung up on her.
