Utter silliness. There will be no impeachment. Even if Ds take the House, doubtful if they can pass any articles, impossible for them to get the Senate to go along.

No, only need 50 votes for USSC (Pence breaks the tie, even in judicial issues).

I think McConnell should adjourn the do-nothing Senate so that Trump can make recess appointments to run our agencies.

But, that won't fix the SC. Kavanaugh would be an idiot to give up a life-time seat on the DC circuit for a term appointment on the SC.

I’ve been saying that, while the ‘Rats and Reed ended the filibuster a couple of years ago, they just ended it when applied by the book. They still have a filibuster by other means.

This effectively means there is no filibuster for republicans, but there is a filibuster for ‘Rats.

This is analogous to what the ‘Rats do in other areas. Take the 2A and the constitution. They won’t amend the Constitution formally. But they do so in every other sniveling way they can - Courts, regulations, media.

Because they won’t control the committee. They won’t even be close.

It will be a 54-60 seat GOP senate. My guess is at minimum 56.

This stunt might just be the one thing that could make him angry enough to do that.

I agree with that. My point was that if the Dems took control they would absolutely do this. They react to things like spoiled seventh-graders.

Oh, of course. Yes, if they won, it would be armageddon, and that’s understating the damage.

...be ready for Senate Democrats to keep the court seat vacant until after the 2020 presidential election if they win the chamber in November

A very big "if". Still, as long as there are Collins and Murkowski around then the Democrats don't need a majority to block Trump's picks.

And the republicans will do NOTHING to stop them. The problem with American politics is the republicans don’t keep their campaign promises and the democrats do.

And that's why we have Justice Garland today. Because republicans did nothing. And that's why we have a filibuster on supreme court nominees. Oh wait... And what exactly do you think Republicans should do to stop democrats from blocking nominees if they win the majority? There is literally nothing they can do, so you better go vote in November.

“I will vote as if my life depends on it.”

It might. Not too much more of this will precede a violent reaction. Those who conspire to destroy lives should take care to realize that their successes might lead to them forfeiting theirs...there is always a response and the more extreme the action, the more extreme the response.

After THIS Dog & Pony Show, the Dems will be LUCKY to hold on to ANYTHING at the mid-terms. Do NOT forget they’ve been on a downward & speedy trajectory thanks to 0bama’s policies LOSING them over 1,000 seats in Government across the board! Pubbies control 33 or so Governorships and the vast majority of Houses and Senates in the States.

WHAT have the Dems contributed to America as a whole since they started their unabashed quest to DESTROY PDJT over the past two years? Nothing. Not. A. Thing.

They’ve created a disgusting mess that ANY normal American is 100% sick of. They’ve also created two life-long, rock-ribbed Conservatives in Kav’s young daughters - via exposing them to these hearings.

We need to grind their lingering remains to DUST this coming November!

Yes, this is their goal. And they’ll conspire, orchestrate, cheat, promote any lie, commit any crime to save their godless liberal/progressive anti-America, anti-Constitution, anti-liberty, leftist judiciary. This is all out war for the soul of America and the Republicans had best mobilize for it or America goes down the globalist/marxist tubes.

Looks like the left dead set on turning Kavanaugh into the next justice Thomas. I doubt the judge is going to forget this - I don’t see how you come out of this the same as going in. If he didn’t understand the wicked left he does now. Go Brett Go.

Yeah. All government employees need to know that if Trump is assassinated there will be millions of freedom loving Americans people sufficiently pissed off to want to take out everyone in the Deep State, and just to be sure EVERY government employee, and maybe 10’s to 100’s of thousands (maybe millions?) who will actually do it.

Your neighbors know where you live. So does the guard at your gated community, so does your security team, so do the police and the local national guard, and the military and every spy, saboteur, MS-13 and jihadist you’ve let into the country. Who benefits from a US power vacuum, hmmm?

Trump has the option of a recess appointment if the dems play hardball, right?

I sure hope your right!

Cause if enough of "us" are pissed off and go the other way & don't vote...it's likely the (D)'s will control the Senate. If that happens, it means not only the Senate is gone but so too is the House.

Forget not only the courts then, but also MAGA and everything else that goes along with it.

I've read one too many people here on FR alone that say they are fed up to the point of not wanting to vote this fall.

As crappy as most (R)'s have been, allowing Congress to fall to the (D)'s would be catastrophic. We must ensure Congress doesn't go to the (D)'s.

Our future really is in our hands.
