During a news conference for a shooting that left one deputy killed and another injured Monday in Rancho Cordova, Sacramento County Sheriff Scott Jones encouraged others to should head to the convention center to support police.

Wish I could show up and show support for law enforcement but unlike the Black Lives Matters folks I have a job and family responsibilities. Very low class of BLM to protest law enforcement the day after a sheriff lost his life in the line of duty.

Despicable to protest the day after a deputy was killed.

Our oldest is living at home during his first year in the law enforcement program at the local community college. He also works as a security guard at the hospital-uniform with a shiny badge.

He was leaving for work while I was reading a bedtime story to our youngest. As he walked by I envisioned the near future when work would be as a police officer. Without thinking I said that I worried about him when he goes to work.

My young daughter said, “That’s because he’s a sheriff (shiny badge and uniform) and there are bad guys out there.”

She summed it up.

Here is ONE WHITE LIFE that finally mattered, in death. He was Kelly Thomas of Fullerton, CA. RIP Kelly.

The father of Kelly Thomas, who died after an altercation with police, reached a $4.9-million settlement Monday, according to his lawyer in Santa Ana, California

Note-”the city did not admit any liability or fault.” (Cops lost their jobs- justice failed.)

3-4 cops (white & hispanic) beat a 130 limp white mentally-ill man to death. They are careful not to have the cruiser video cam running while they bash Kelly’s skull and body. The brutal beating was caught on a nearby bank surveillance cam.

The law enforcement assailants loaded comatose Kelly into an ambulance and he died in hospital. Outraged citizens of all colors turned out to protest. Kelly was a waif-like 36YO nonviolent man whose only resistance was to shield his head and pathetically cry for his dad.
