Grassley is one of my senators, and he is extremely squidgy. The other one, Ernst, is a real zero. I have emailed both of them many times and get the same lame responses. “Thanks for the input, but are you giving me big bucks the way the ethanol lobby is?”

Problem, the accuserconvenienrly doesn’t remember anything about the house except it was near a golf course and in Montgomery county. Also doesn’t remember who took her there or how she got there.

And why haven't we heard from committee members like Lee, Cruz, Kennedy, etc.? Silence.
The dems will try to stall in bringing her in to testify. Grassley should send letters to Ford, Kavanugh and Judge and state that they are willing to hear the evidence Wednesday before the vote. Whoever shows up can testify. Whoever doesn’t holds her peace forever. If she does not show or the Dems make excuses, then it will be shown for the political sham it is and give cover for the republicans on the committee to vote Thursday based on Kavanaugh denying Ford’s claim Wednesday. She can take her metoo and shove it.
Dianne is under a substantial challenge from the left this November in the Senate election.

I thought Kav’s mom was only the judge in their (‘97) DISMISSAL, not original pleading (96).
She testifies Thursday, Kavanaugh on Friday, and the Committee votes on Saturday. Full Senate has all of next week to vote on confirmation.
Though very bad result for us, if the current Republicans cannot succeed with Kavanaugh, maybe this current crop of “Republicans” deserve to be booted from Congress.
Telling someone a lie "in confidence" doesn't change anything. It still constitutes "publication" of the defamatory statement, and she would be liable legally for any republication beyond that point.
