If it’s someone who doesn’t want their face splattered all over the media, that wouldn’t be the case.
Her intent was to prevent him from being seated. I think she wanted to do it without having to face public ridicule.

6. Ensuring the court doesn't turn more conservative / constitutionalist.
The end goal is to make sure the court doesn't go more traditionalist, constitution and rule of law upholding.
We must all get out and vote this fall to ensure the (R)'s keep power for this and a myriad of other palpable reasons.
The real reason they don’t want her to testify is that she’ll have to reveal the name of “REDACTED” on national television. That itself would expose her to some serious civil liability.

Grassley is dumb like a fox.. He will let the democrat activist woman testify for a day, and schedule the vote next day. That shuts up the rats from saying republicans did not even listen to the woman accuser.

I agree. She should not be part of any part of this process. 65 women have vouched for him. I don’t believe her at all. His entire life is spotless, until this woman comes around. Where are her friends to say ‘yea, I remember her telling me about that!’ Nothing. No memory of where she was, who was there, except for Kavanaugh- of course. Nothing to verify an iota. All coming from a leftist professor with a mean streak, according to her students. She needs to go back to knitting her hats

Interestingly, Joe Biden — who was the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee at the time — was adamant that he would not allow any information from Anita Hill to be entered into the committee’s records on the nomination if she remained anonymous. That would have been a big no-no in anything remotely resembling a legal procedure.
Why would Feinstein co-operate with a linguini-spined Republican? She KNOWS she has all the power. Once the allegations fly, the media will make sure the Demonrats win. Happens every time.
She could just say the cause for the drinking & sexcapades was Kavanaugh.

I’m not a big fan of people being able to come up with charges, when they won’t do it in public.
When a person is charged, they should be able to know who it was and respond with information they may know, or that others can dig up.
If it relates to the accuser’s character, it should be heard.
I’m not trying to say that a hooker for instance could never claim rape. I’m not trying to deny a woman her right to charge a guy. I just think a guy needs to be able to defend himself too.
These are messy situations. It’s hard to protect everyone’s rights.
