Thus far, they have refused. But as a necessary step in evaluating these claims, I’ll continue working to set them up.”

There are already cracks in the damn.
1. Even Trump is now saying a delay may happen.
2. Republican Senators Jeff Flake, Bob Corker, Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins are all now leaning towards saying a hearing, under oath, needs to take place.
You think this sort of thing is going to get worked out in a week? The way the swamp works?
Now that 4 of the necessary (R)'s are getting weak-kneed this confirmation vote is looking very shaky in the best of light.
Now, whether this pisses off enough Trump supporters (including the independents and "blue dog" dems that voted for him) to get out and vote this fall, that remains to be seen. The (D)'s smell blood in the water and they will do everything to stop Trump / Kavanaugh / MAGA, etc, including rigging elections, voting by dead people illegal aliens and all the rest.
The mid-term votes in 2018 will decide a great deal of our republic's future.
Apparently Grassley subscribes to the Richard Burr theory of senate committee chairmanship: let the minority run the show.
Since this isn’t going to stop Kavanaugh from being seated, Kevin de Leon might be smart figure out that this is a golden opportunity for him to turn on Feinstein, expose her whole scam, and run her out of the Senate. The #metoo Powder Puff Girls might get their feathers ruffled for a while, but the Democratic Socialists would see it as a massive win for their side.

Grassley doesn’t presently have the votes.

When I was a teenage boy I never did anything to a girl that could EVER be construed as sexual assault AND I’M CERTAIN NEITHER DID KAVENAUGH. It’s somewhat distressing that FReepers give ANY credence to this Agendanista’s transparent phony allegations.
Also doesn’t remember who took her there or how she got there.
