The independistas group was small in numbers but violent. They bombed communication towers and electrical substations. Cuba was supporting them. In fact while I was there, also in the 60’s, LE found a large supply of fire arms, ammo and explosives in a hidden cove on the NE coast deposited by Cuba and for the independistas.
“So what is the point CNN, Trump should have declared martial law when he saw the hurricane coming toward PR and built an entire new network of roads and power grids in the days before it hit?”
Wasn’t there a movie like that back in the day? A tiny European country declared war on the United States with the intent of being quickly defeated and then rebuilt by the United States? The Mouse that Roared?
Their government failed long before the hurricane.
Last night I spoke with my son who lives directly south of San Juan. He says big corporations are doing a lousy job of providing PR with things they want to buy. Apparently they are sending the same seasonal supplies they send to their mainland stores. THey are loosing money for their incompetence. For example, Burlington Coat Factory is sending winter coats for a tropical island instead of good rain coats. Home Depot is stocking a very inadequate array of electrical goods. My son does electrical repair work and generator installations. He is very frustrated. So if you have corporate contacts who do national business, tell them to get their head out of their xxxes and use their brains when shipping seasonal goods to PR.
By the look of this image he'll never run out of work!
Thanks g. Seems like ordering directly from suppliers via the www would work better.
