Manfort was only hired for his convention experience. The #NeverTrumpers were threating to steal the nomination at the convention. Manafort was brought in to make sure Trump wasn’t robbed of the republican nomination at the convention.
Until inserted into the campaign by the Deep state for there little project. Hope the good guys investigate manafort hiring and how that went down. NSA / DIA have everything. Be great to pull that out down the road a bit if his hiring was the result of Obama and Clinton flying monkeys that left an email, text, travel trail.
