John Kerry slammed for 'shameful' shadow diplomacy after admitting to meetings with Iran

Former Secretary of State John Kerry is being slammed for conducting shadow diplomacy with Iran after admitting to multiple meetings with Iranian officials behind the backs of Trump administration officials -- including over the scrapped nuclear deal.

An administration official on Thursday told Fox News Kerry’s meetings are "shameful," pointing out what Iranian-backed militias are doing to kill and injure people in Syria, Iraq and Yemen.

Other Republicans suggested it may not even be legal.

“John Kerry is out giving advice to Iran about how to maneuver around what Donald Trump is doing; it's insidious,” Ari Fleischer, the former White House press secretary for George W. Bush, said Wednesday on Fox News' "Special Report." “I don't know if it's legal or illegal, I don't care about that side of it. It's wrong.”

Kerry, the former Massachusetts senator who worked as the nation’s top diplomat in the Obama administration, made the comments about his interactions with Iran as he promotes his new book, “Every Day Is Extra.”

A brief background on John Fonda Kerry...

"Under questioning from the Committee, Kerry referred to the democratically elected government of South Vietnam -- our allies -- as a "dictatorial regime, the Thieu-Ky-Khiem regime," while respectfully calling the North Vietnamese communist regime we were fighting by its oxymoronic official name, the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, and the murderous Viet Cong's political arm by their preferred "Provisional Revolutionary Government.":

In 1984, Kerry met with Communist Nicaraguan Dictator Daniel Ortega in an effort
to frustrate the anti-Communist policies of Ronald Reagan.

John Kerry was a TRAITOR at the 1970 meeting he conducted with North Vietnamese communists, and he is a TRAITOR today, having met with the Iranians!

In both cases, Kerry violated U.S. code 18 U.S.C. 953. “A U.S. citizen cannot go abroad and negotiate with a foreign power.”

He needs to be indicted, tried, convicted and sent to a federal SuperMax prison, to encourage the others!

Who has the balls to do anything to this traitorous POS? Who’s gonna do it?
Answer: NOBODY
He should have been executed, or at least doing a life sentence, for treason from way back when. Instead, they let him get away with it and even allowed him to have high positions in govt!!! No one has ever had the balls take him on so he has no fear and does whatever Obama’s DS wants him to do. Why not? No one has taken him to task yet. Too bad we don’t have a justice system anymore. This one here should have been hanged a loooonnnnggggg time ago.

it may not even be legal.

Really? It is a direct violation of the Logan Act.

The Logan Act (1 Stat. 613, 18 U.S.C. § 953, enacted January 30, 1799) is a United States federal law that criminalizes negotiation by unauthorized persons with foreign governments having a dispute with the United States.

Here’s what I’m wondering about...

Wouldn’t it stand to reason that Trump or the State Dept knew what Kerry was doing?

If yes, why did they continue to allow it? Do they view Kerry as an elephant views a fly - IOW, no big deal to worry about?

Perhaps I’m a bit reactionary here (reason 362 why I shouldn’t be in public service) but I’d think that either Trump or Pompeo call Kerry and ask him to stop by the White House for a “Come to Jesus” conversation.

Including a promise to revoke Kerry’s passport if he continues to meddle in the Administration’s foreign affairs might be a good thing to mention in their meeting too.

John F. Kerry has been doing this since 1970 when he traveled to the Soviet Union while still not officially discharged from the U.S. Navy. Am I supposed to act surprised in 2018?
