Unless one wants to kill well they sleep. Maybe the “driller” (if that’s the case) was hoping for it to turn into an explosive type decompression.
A fire would be an All Hands situation.
I’d pick JB-Weld Quickset over anything else I’ve heard suggested, except maybe the tap/bolt idea but I would still add the JB-Weld Quickset for a thread sealer.
I’ve NEVER had JB-Weld fail. And over the decades I’ve used several pounds of it. On probably 1000+ things.
Plus it’s made in Sulphur Springs,Texas.
There's always a first time for failure that you haven't seen. Particularly in space with extreme heat and cold, and UV radiation. Take a JB-Weld fix and leave it outside in the sunlight. It will breakdown in time due to UV light. Installing a rivet, or bolt is a metal on metal connection that is much, much stronger than a chemical patch.

Rubber cement and an inner tube patch.
I’m just using my phone to view and it is quite clear for some reason. Very distinct spaces between letters and it’s even more clear that there is no drill drifting sqiggles between each letter. And that inward volcano effect around the hole is unmistakable, too.
Maybe different browsers load more pixels than others?
Well lets think this thru ..... I hope they have a small machine / fabrication shop up there to maintain the ISS. Didn’t they just deliver a 3D Direct Metal Laser Sintering Printer to test ?? Print the part, refine and finish with a 9 axis mini CNC ??
Would also think they have a SET SIZE of fasteners ...... sort of like build the ISS from half inch fasteners and bring a half inch set of tools versus a billion dollar set of “snap on tools” ...... the 2mm evidence probably got pushed out the hole if the suspect was an astronaut type thinker stinker ......
