A bellicose President Trump wanted to kill Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad after he launched a chemical weapons attack on civilians in April 2017, according to the new White House tell-all by Bob Woodward of the Washington Post.
The commander-in-chief called Defense Secretary Jim Mattis and issued the deadly order.
And I say, so?
Does Woodward prefer to coddle Assad and let chemical attacks go unanswered? I think Trump’s alleged response is absolutely correct.

After his FBI used him to take down Nixon, Woodward’s entire career has been writing National Enquirer gossip stories about each administration.
The Post, Woodward, and the Clowns in Action tend imho to all work together for the same goals.
This appears to be yet another attempt to take down a president.
I suggest considering the entire book to be just propaganda, and not worthy of consideration, imho.

That doesn’t sound like Trump. “The lot of them” sounds more like Woodward. The “gas attack” was very likely fake; Trump responded by bombing some stuff over there, just in case anyone thought he wouldn’t or couldn’t. Woodward is trying to make Trump sound loony. Fake news.

A leader needs to consider all options on the table and if Assad actually did use WMDs against civilians, then “ killing them all” ( Assad and the rest responsible ) is a valid, and possibly even desirable, option.
Letting guys like Assad and Kim Jong Il know that you consider killing them a potential preferred solution is good policy that provides deterrence against them gassing their people in the first place

We have been living with the concept of Mutually Assured Destruction of entire countries wherein entire cities with millions of people are threatened with annihilation if their leaders use WMD against us and one of the primary Cold War missions of the B-2 bomber was to seek out and destroy Soviet leadership in their remote bunkers so those leaders could be certain that they would personally die along with the rest of the people if they started WWIII
