so the ones who work get nothing? The problem is they don’t fire more lazy or incompetent people or cut non-essential services and departments. if they did they they could reward top performers.

The pay increase percentage goes against both base locality (I think ).

I know jimmy carter in 1976 promised big military pay increase and got lots of support for that.

Yes. I think the same when I see OPM. Lol.

When looking at the data for increases there is a separate line for increases to current federal workers, FERS retirees and CSRS retirees. Most people think CSRS retirement when they think federal employees pensions and benefits but it ended in 1985 (I think). Even on the 3 years pushed out 0 percent retirees got anywhere from 2-3 percent.

You are right. The full percentage goes toward both, with a set amount for base, and differing amounts toward locality areas - not all localities were increased by the same percentages. I just took the percent numbers on the base salary increase (except 2008 and 2009 - which was from the link in the prior post and I didn't check if they were base or total), which was not the entirety of the actual raise for those years, but there is a distinct contrast between Bush and Obama for total salary increase, even at the base level.

Here is one: ICE. Take whatever list makes you happy, then look at every other federal employee, should they get a pay freeze or should the job be eliminated? This is a half measure. If it were a business and you had a redundant department, would you freeze their pay, or get rid of the department?

Concur, BUT, then you topple of the ‘house of cards’ that is Fedzilla (hell, might even go down to the State level).

Rank it up there w/ DACA
