The White House on Monday afternoon re-lowered its flags to half staff after drawing significant backlash for returning them to full staff less than 48 hours after the death of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).
Multiple reporters noted on social media that the flags were flying at half staff once again. The White House did not immediately respond to questions for comment on why the change was made.

Enough citizens know of McCain’s record.

EZ peasy - the American Legion asked them to. So they followed protocol on the two day thing, then answered the Am Legion positively. Over.
Even Ivanka had to chime in today, calling McCain a “true American hero!”
I hope she doesn’t actually become our first female POTUS!!
We can only hope that after Trump lives a full, good life and passes away, there won’t be a rabid lib radical in the WH. Such a person probably would have already removed all flags (except the rainbow and green flags) from federal buildings, and wouldn’t even lower those.
My interpretation is that the Flag is at Half-Staff due to 0bmama Care still in force and the poor state of The Wall construction funding.
Keep it there until the above deaths of appropriate legislation are reversed.
Actually it was left to protocol. Protocol was correct and the WH amended it. Nothing here.

He made his personal point when the White House flag went back up full staff according to regs on the book.

Despite our differences on policy and politics, I respect Senator John McCain’s service to our country and, in his honor, have signed a proclamation to fly the flag of the United States at half-staff until the day of his interment.
I have asked Vice President Mike Pence to offer an address at the ceremony honoring Senator McCain at the United States Capitol this Friday.
At the request of the McCain family, I have also authorized military transportation of Senator McCain’s remains from Arizona to Washington, D.C., military pallbearers and band support, and a horse and caisson transport during the service at the United States Naval Academy.
Finally, I have asked General John Kelly, Secretary James Mattis, and Ambassador John Bolton to represent my Administration at his services.
The code is day of death plus next day, which they already fulfilled.
So how does Trump win here.
Just makes him look like wuss, and everybody else is still just as pissed off at him as before.
