Dershowitz explained, “A candidate can give contributions [to his campaign]. So even if it’s true that the only purpose was to help his campaign — obviously it had multiple purposes; it was obviously designed to also prevent embarrassment to his family, his wife, his children, and all that — but even if you could show, even if he had a memo saying, ‘I want you, my lawyer, to pay $80,000. I’ll pay you back. It’s my campaign contribution, and I want it to be hush money in order to help me be elected president,’ no crime.

He may be a liberal, but he is an honest liberal.

I think I heard Mr Dershowitz joke recently that he’s not allowed on Marsha’s Vineyard this summer.

So Lanny Davis is his lawyer, and he counsels his client to plead guilty to something that isn’t even a crime. Isn’t this the very definition of malpractice? Just whose interests was Davis looking out for, anyway?

Trump just needs to keep his mouth shut.

Trump never intended Cohen to break any law.

Trump relied on lawyer Cohen to do things in a fully legal manner.

The whole campaign finance law rubbish needs to be declared unconstitutional so campaigns can focus on the important issues.

When Hillary spent over $500 million, why are we even talking about Cohen’s $130,000?

If Dershowitz is calling them out, they really have nothing.

Pleading Guilty to a Crime that Doesn’t Exist is not the point ,it’s the pleading Guilty and then connecting it to Trump times five or six

Cohen won’t be sentenced until December 12th. Does that make sense?

It might usage been a crime for Cohen to donate though. And there are also the allegations that he did not disclose the “Contribution.” The better argument from Trumps standpoint is that it wasnt a cmpaign contribution.

Why is Sessions (therefore Trumps) DOJ charging Cohn with non crimes? Why didn’t the judge step in to point this out and set everyone straight? SWAMP! Davis took the DOJ deal that is collusion!

Congress can define High Crimes and Misdemeanors any way they damn well please...as long as they have the votes for it.

A President can be impeached and removed for farting in church. It does not require the commission of a crime under the US Code.

On this point Dershowitz is wrong.

The Democrats decided to impeach President Trump about 10 PM on Election Night.

Dershowits is right, but, democrats know it too.

What democrats have been doing is creating the perception of “high crimes and misdemeanor”, and making sure that all of their media outlets (meaning their propaganda machine, the liberal press) gets the word out, far and wide. It’s about winning back the house, and perhaps even the senate (where the senates is almost an impossibility for them). But, they need to try, and so, they don’t care that there were no laws broken, it’s about the perception that they need to create about a crooked executive.
