They already know the bike was stolen in VA.
They won’t tell us if he stole across the border.

Although Mateo wasn't cited, he would have been charged with careless driving, according to the police report.

Maybe he is comforted in the afterlife ... that he got out of a ticket.

There is no protecting someone from their own stupidity and recklessness.

.
Is the “unlicensed” cyclist now ‘undead?’

I think you can split lanes up to speeds of 35 miles an hour. But if stop and go...always a clown who roars by you ....I wonder how many deaths a year of the lane splitters...

***Just because his lower half was found 50 yards away from his upper half.***

In the olden days, if he had survived, he would have been charged with “Leaving the scene of an accident.”

False. I have it on good authority that all motorcycle accidents are cause by “four wheelers”.

Second and Third Question. Would he have been cited for driving without valid license and stolen vehicle?? I mean, while they are writing out citations, go for it.

“Charged with homicide on 8/19/2018.”

possession of a stolen motorcycle.

I wonder if it was suicide by truck.

29 is old, too. He should have had the maturity to know better. I mean, if it was some 18 year old on his first bike, I could understand and feel some sympathy for the kid, that he died rather than get a cheap lesson out of a non-fatal accident that wised him up. By 29, you know better. It is really hard being sympathetic here. That is just dumb. Still, we have all had a moment of dumb, so OK, I can be sympathetic. But still furious at him the same time. Just stupid.

“I was just reading that. Didn’t he die?? So do they usually cite dead drivers/riders?”

The bike was stolen in Virginia, they could lock his dead ass up a couple of years for that

As a matter of fact, yes I do. There was a time when transportation ALL looked alike and folks treated it as simply what is was, transportation. We got along just fine for hundreds of years like this. Since, vehicles have come along, there are some among us who take their personality out onto the public roadway, doing stupid things that endanger others for no good reason. If all cars looked alike and were bland in nature and had a speed control, these personality types would take their crap somewhere other than the public highway and we would all be much safer. How many lives a year must be sacrificed for the ability to be a race car wannabe? It doesn't have to be this way.

Motorcycles have no chance in collisions with other vehicles and insurance rates for me should not have to be higher because idiots want to tempt fate on one. People like to roller skate. Why can't they go on the highway?
