Wow, a bit of sanity at Mother Jones. Color me surprised.
How many people have been murdered in Democrat run cities while the Democrats were getting Manafort and Cohen? There are the crimes.
Both Manafort and Cohen’s crimes had nothing to do with Russian interference. Cohen changed his story in order to make a deal with prosecutors.
The real target behind these investigations and prosecutorial actions, as we know, is President Trump.
1. He beat Hillary Clinton
2. He loves the country and its people
Guilty as charged.
I got this from a liberal Democrat law professor who voted for Hillary Clinton:
...”If Cohen made the payments to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal at the request of Donald Trump, he was acting as Trumps representative (his agent), and since Trump reimbursed it, thats not a crime. A candidate is allowed to give an unlimited amount of money to his or her campaign.
Now, if Cohen did not do it at Trumps behest, then Cohen committed a crime, but Trump didnt.”...
I find myself wondering how many American citizens realize that these are victimless actions done by Manafort and Cohen, but are being given the most horrendous punishment imaginable, which, requires an explanation. On the face of it, those who have followed the saga of the anti-Trump legal operatives have to consider that they are sending a message to anyone outside of their party to never try again to run for high office in the US, for career politicians in the Democratic party and their cohorts in the legal profession own our government. No new comers allowed. Any who tries and wins will be ruined or sent to jail. That is what this looks like to me.
I heard an elected Senator of the United States say, “Trump is indicted as a co-conspirator to a felony, we cannot have hearings on Judge Kavanaugh.”
Someone pointed out yesterday that the size of the payments is typical of what is given to someone making a false accusation. The accusers knew that Trump would be hurt by their allegations without their providing any evidence--and that it would be impossible for him to prove conclusively that the affairs did not happen.
