They are working toward a crescendo about 3 weeks before the election. My only question is will they try to engineer a simultaneous financial crisis. I have always been suspicious of the timing of the 2008 crisis. We will see if Soros et al really does wield this kind of power.
Gee, it sure is a good thing the head of the Justice Department is a Republican appointed by the president.
Something that I have wondered about for some time is whether Mueller and his crew have graduated from “tough prosecution” to subornation of perjury. Mueller has obviously offered Cohen significant benefit if he manufactures testimony against Trump and threatened draconian penalties if he refrains from false testimony. In the Manafort case, it seems that his real offense is refusing to provide false testimony to Mueller against Trump.
I know that there attorneys here on Free Republic. Can you tell the rest of us what limits (if any) are placed on prosecutor behavior to prevent their suborning perjury.
If a defense attorney engaged in similar hardball tactics, wouldn’t they be charged with witness tampering or a more serious charge?
Cohen and Manafort are defendants in the current trials, but they are being transparently “recruited” as prosecution witnesses against Trump in the investigation.
Mueller is probably thinking ahead to after the Democrats gain control of the House (he hopes), setting up an item for impeachment next spring.
Mueller screwed up again it’s why he passed the case off.
Excellent!
Do mares eat oats?
There is no question at all the Cohen plea deal was political. So was the Manafort trial. Both were 100% political. Cohen’s office files were taken for the purpose of building a case to make him talk. Manafort was pursued because of his work with Trump.
