LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Georgia Congressman and Civil Rights icon John Lewis visited Little Rock Sunday to speak with members of the community at a rally in support of Second Congressional Seat candidate Clarke Tucker, who is running against incumbent Congressman French Hill.
Lewis spoke alongside Tucker during a rally held at Philander Smith College, saying, "It doesn't matter if you're Black, White, Latino, Asian American, or Native American - we must learn to live together as brothers and sisters."
Congressman Hill released the following statement in response to the Little Rock visit, and to Lewis' endorsement of the Clarke Tucker campaign for the 2nd Congressional seat:
"Congressman Lewis is a great American and a good man.

A new group of leaders are needed within the AA community....though that may be hard to find a group not tainted by all of the identify politics they're taught in schools, social media, media and the former occupant of the white house.
