It is worth noting that some in the American press, most explicitly CNN, have fundamentally misunderstood these protests, mischaracterizing them as internal struggles between political hardliners and “reformists”. This is an almost comical error, and causes one to wonder whether anyone making it has actually seen the demonstrations. The people in the streets are shouting phrases like “marg bar dictator” (meaning ‘down with the dictator’, a reference to Iranian Grand Ayatollah and Supreme Leader Khamenei) and “marg bar Rouhani” (“down with Rouhani”, the current Iranian president). Their opposition to the brutal regime under which they suffer could not be clearer. They are not pushing for fine changes in Iran’s political process; they want the theocracy overthrown.
This kind of misrepresentation is dangerous because people in the United States should and must know the reality of what is going on in Iran. It’s imperative that popular support exists among the American people to back the protesters in Iran.

The key, the thing to watch, is the relationship between the ruling Imams and the military leadership. If the rulers feel the populace is getting too restless they will go to war against ‘someone’. [See Ez38]

Iranians yearn for an Islamic Republic with food
It will not be good when the Imans Fall—just like it will not be good when the Communists are pulled from power in Cuba. The streets of Habana will flow with blood and the lamp posts decorated with hanging communists. Then, Cuba will be free.
If an Iman is a religious figure won’t they have a problem taking him(lethal) out? To take over one must be ruthless and kill fast. Keep cops and law enforcement. They’ll need them. Does the Shah’s kid have it in him. Looks fat. Living the good life here.
When they (this includes Westernized young people) stop chanting Death to America and Death to Israel...maybe God will relent and give them freedom.
I doubt that the Cuban people have got guns and ammo to stage a revolution. The already dis-armed populace is easier to control.
It would be one thing to believe CNN “misunderstands” anything. At least that way you could still assume they had a bit of integrity, and perhaps were only just a bit gullible. You can forget the integrity part when it comes to the MSM.
These people understand the truth, they just refuse to tell the truth if it doesn’t line up with their narrative. Just like they report Trump “colluded” when they darn well know he didn’t. They don’t “believe” Trump colluded with Russia...whatever comes out of their mouths has nothing to do with what they “believe”. The ends justifies the means with this crowd.
Even so-called Westernized, fashionable, and tech-savvy millenials in Iran chant "Death to Israel."
And "Death to America." (And Britain.)
This may be exactly the problem. And the phenomenon is reflective of a great many young Russian and Chinese people too. They want all the material perks of American values, but still hold vengeful resentment towards America and long for the same imperial, global domination their prospective regimes espouse and nostalgize.
Islam is never free.
Iran is Persian not Arabic. Islam to them is an imperialist conquering religion. It is not native to Iran.
Read your books of the Prophets, Old Testament. Iran has a dead future.
