Trump to make Paris visit in November to mark 100 years since end of WWI

US President Donald Trump announced on Friday that he will be visiting Paris on November 11th in honour of the centenary of the end of WWI.

Trump who had planned to organise a military parade in November in Washington announced Friday that he would travel to Paris for the commemoration of the end of the First World War.

The US president made the announcement on Twitter (see below) on Friday afternoon at the same as criticizing local politicians in Washington who he said were asking for too much money for the parade.

"Never let anyone take you hostage!" he wrote.

The local politicians who run Washington, D.C. (poorly) know a windfall when they see it. When asked to give us a price for holding a great celebratory military parade, they wanted a number so ridiculously high that I cancelled it. Never let someone hold you up! ....attend the big parade already scheduled at Andrews Air Force Base on a different date, & go to the Paris parade, celebrating the end of the War, on November 11th. Maybe we will do something next year in D.C. when the cost comes WAY DOWN. Now we can buy some more jet fighters!

Trump has a greater love and appreciation of our military than any President since Washington. No matter how long ago, or the nature of the conflict, Trump understands that every bit of American blood spilt in war must always be honoured

I still believe PDT was ‘set up’ on this one as I think he saw a massive turnout honoring troops in other countries and thought it a GREAT idea to pay tribute here.

Of course I know exactly what it’s about. I spent 20 years in the USAF, 8 of those years under Reagan. He also loved the troops.
My point, is not that Trump will make anything other than that out of it. I doubt any other leader will make anything else out of it either. My guess is some left wing American or European so called journalist, will bring up countless other useless issues.
It’s rather obvious, that I didn’t make it very clear.
