The truth is that regardless of who leads the Democratic Party, Republicans will demonize and characterize them as socialists who want to import radical policies to the United States.
CNN awkwardly stumbles onto some truth? Maybe Republicans wouldn't demonize and characterize them as socialists if they weren't, well, socialists.

Yes, she should remain in her current role. She provides a treasure trove of nutty/goofy quotes. She is also a constant reminder of Dem failures during 2008 - 2016.
Unfortunately, republicans have not used those crazy quotes adequately in election campaigns. They must be doing a favor to democrats.

I misread that title as
Nancy Pelosi is on fire, but dousing her isn't the answer.

Republicans will demonize and characterize them as socialists who want to import radical policies to the United States. The way this sentence is written it implies that the Republicans will UNFAIRLY characterize them that way. Just like a statement in an NYT editorial that (still) frosts my @$$ that some Republican "ridiculously called 0bama a Socialist". HE IS/WAS/WILL BE A SOCIALIST. The NYT wouldn't have stood with him through all of the stupid stuff he's said and done if he weren't.

there might be a strong argument to make that Democrats should replace Pelosi with someone who is more representative of the future than the past. CNN dog-whistle for "not white".
