They’re insane and have gone into full panic mode. They can’t help themselves and look utterly stupid in doing so. They know the Blue Wave is coming it’s not gonna be good for them.
Mutiny:
Mutiny is a criminal conspiracy among a group of people to openly oppose, change, or overthrow a lawful authority to which they are subject.

(3) fails to do his utmost to prevent and suppress a mutiny or sedition being committed in his presence, or fails to take all reasonable means to inform his superior commissioned officer or commanding officer of a mutiny or sedition which he knows or has reason to believe is taking place, is guilty of a failure to suppress or report a mutiny or sedition.
(b) A person who is found guilty of attempted mutiny, mutiny, sedition, or failure to suppress or report a mutiny or sedition shall be punished by death or such other punishment as a court-martial may direct.

The fact that now the NYT is indirectly agitating for a military coup means Trump’s opposition has come to the realization that there’s going to be no Blue Wave and they’re down to one option - forcible removal.

Well, I have a message for Mr. Weiner and those generals and admirals, soldiers and spies who might lash themselves to the Deep State's mast:
Remember your oath to protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Think twice before engaging in treason and sedition against your constitutionally elected government. Those are capital crimes, and the gallows await.
This is how the press and the CIA work. They put in articles refuting something that no one said. Trump is not taking on powers that every president did not wield. He does not use powers that arn’t explicitly given to the president in Law or the constitution. And he has respected courts and laws. But I know lots of liberals that think hes a tyrant. Thats because the papers write articles like this one.
If this is true, which i don’t believe it is (It’s on the internet, it’s in the media so about 80% chance that it’s a total, made-up lie)
This is the type of thing that starts civil wars.
