At almost every Veterans’ Day parade, we have military or retired military representatives. We don’t need a huge active military parade to show pride in our troops or in our country.
They got it wrong. The SecDef document is on NPR and says the 11th.
Some other fakenews got it wrong yesterday too
“Meanwhile, I dont see how or why the estimated cost went from $12. Million, skyrocketing to over $92.Million!!!”
Help me out here. The military gets paid whether they’re fighting or peeling spuds in the mess hall. How can a parade cost millions of dollars?
The President’s Twitter:
“The local politicians who run Washington, D.C. (poorly) know a windfall when they see it. When asked to give us a price for holding a great celebratory military parade, they wanted a number so ridiculously high that I cancelled it.
Never let someone hold you up! I will instead attend the big parade already scheduled at Andrews Air Force Base on a different date, & go to the Paris parade, celebrating the end of the War, on November 11th. Maybe we will do something next year in D.C. when the cost comes WAY DOWN. Now we can buy some more jet fighters!”
