I'll never understand why Blacks are considered "other," "foreign," or any such thing by either the Left or the Right. They're one of the very oldest of all American population groups. Their origins in America are rural, agricultural, and Southern. And their traditional religion is Fundamentalist Protestantism.

But liberals apparently consider them to the Left of everything else in existence. They don't acknowledge that Blacks can be religious Fundamentalists or that their long, long residence here might dispose them to right wing nativist attitudes.

If the Left didn't have rednecks to hate on, its constituent groups would rip each other to shreds. Ironically, Blacks are the only group in the country whom liberals allow to be rednecks.
