CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — New Yorkers who call 911 on law-abiding people of color are committing hate crimes and should be prosecuted, according to a state senator who was recently reported to police for campaigning in his own district.
State Senator Jesse Hamilton, who represents Brownsville, Crown Heights and Flatbush, proposed new legislation a week after a self-described Trump fan called police to report him for speaking to constituents in public. It would criminalize 911 calls against people of color without evidence of malice.
"That's gonna be a hate crime," Hamilton said. "This pattern of calling the police on black people going about their business and participating in the life of our country has to stop."

This is much ado about nothing. Any law that protects one race over another is completely unconstitutional. The law would naturally apply to all races equally, or to none at all.
Fine. No calling of 911 if they are in a car accident, getting beat up, etc.
Maybe that is their ultimate goal - nobody call 911, because there will no longer be a police force.

Because Republicans have no backbone, and they are always falling all over themselves and groveling to prove that they aren’t racists. They should be standing up for the Constitution, real impartial justice, and tell the libs to pound sand.

The black race that want to gripe and make war... are getting on nerves!! They don’t know a thing about slavery... they were never slaves.. and this dude is so rich he has no room to make judgments on anything ...
The basic thing that is going on... people are angry.. for whtever reason .. for whatever cause ... they’ve been angry for a long time... years and years. we used to work out any anger by just working hard and keep trying to get to wherever we wanted to get to.
Today in this instant gratification world these people live in... there is no hard work... someone will do it and someone will pay for their goods... they have their phones, they can pull up and get their fast food in 5 minutes... They are a spoiled bunch ... a weak bunch... an ungrateful bunch.. with too much time on their hands... plus they have listened to and taken in, the lies that have been fed to them in education and in the media. Their anger just festers .. they don’t even know what they are angry about.. it’s just fashion today to gripe and find a camera to vent about nothing.
They are not leaders, they are sheep! They believe the ridiculous and haven’t stopped to figure out they have been lied to... Get up and go to work and achieve!! instead of complaining about everything.
You live in the greatest country in the world! If we can keep it from being destroyed by that anger you all want to vent and take it out on anyone you don’t like. Even a hat can set you off.. what sense does that make!!
People call 911 for all sorts of stupid reasons. One woman called because about McDonald’s chicken nuggets and another called because she didn’t want to babysit her grandchildren. Those must be great kids, eh? Some drunk guy called to ask the police to bring him more booze. They should let the dispatchers and responders sort it out. Politicians only screw things up more.
911 is merely a coroner and yellow tape call for me.
